The last word I wrote on the thread was 'future'
But the thing is, i had to shoot myself in the foot sometimes to just be up for the whole match. Now i get the sinking feeling even when we score. but if we start playing the high line with a better defence i am all up for it.
I think as a gooner, I have some sympathy. Arsenal used to go 1 up against much better teams like Parma in the Cup Winners Cup Final and hold out. Now a 4 goal lead v Newcastle halfway through the 2nd half is not enough.
In saying that,if you play risk taking attacking football that brings the fans in, you risk conceding.

It can't be both our years next year.
We were brilliant to watch!

Only Chelsea fans would agrere with you there.
Chelsea fans enjoyed watching Chelsea because they won.
Ask any neutral whether they'd rather watch Mourinhos Chelsea or Arsenals invincibles

Did you see us score 103 (ONE HUNDRED AND THREE) goals in a single league season?
Barring one penalty in an away loss we were invincible 2004/5 (almost)
& Anelka scored that..
I'd go back to the Jose days in a heartbeat..
Sturridge, nothing against Chelsea's 103 goals, the football was not boring by any means, but I have seen teams play just as good football as that Chelsea side and miss more chances. If 30 of Chelsea's 103 goals had gone wide, the football would still have been just as good.
When you look at it, we never actually had the WORLDS BEST players at our club.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Gallas, Terry, Makalele, Carlvalho, Crespo, Robben, Cech.....I would say they were some of the worlds best players at that time.................
I also think we played very entertaining football in the first year we won the title, it was the 2nd year we won the title where we became this robotic outfir that just ground teams down and yes i have to admit it was not so great to watch.

Nesta>Terry
Maldini > Ricky
Buffon > Cech
Ronaldinho>Robben
Eto>Crespo
Then you had the likes of Kaka, Zlatan, Torres , Lahm etc who we missed out on.
City have gone out and signed the likes of Kompany, Nasri, Silva and Aguero. Thats 4 YOUNG talented superstars. Chelsea have only done this once by signing Robben.

We spend all our money on managers
disagree, all those players we had were some of the best players in the world at that time, especailly Carlvalho and Makalele.
Look at Ronaldo at Rooney. That's how you do it. We bought wrinklies
RA bought the club and demanded instant success so management had to go for established players. Top players didn't want to come to Chelsea that time because it was unknown territory that time.
RA tried his best to get Henry, Viera, Cole, Sheva, kaka and Ribery in past but failed

Yes
And right now, City have an FA Cup. Not proven anything yet
City are not currently better than we used to be.
Times have changed now..PL is a force compare to 9 years ago.
The wages City offers can lure most of the players
