He has been a bit off-colour in the past few games, especially against AC Milan. But you know how the cliche goes: form is temporary, class is permanent. Hopefully, this current form is just a purple patch, and he will start to regain his form again soon enough.
There is no-one else I would rather have as our number 1 at the moment; this kid has got all the raw ingredients to become a top, top quality keeper for us for the next 15 years.
Would you rather have Fabianski in goal? Of course you wouldn't.
So, to sum your OP up; good (correct) observation, but nothing to be overly concerned about. Just go to the park and enjoy the sun, pal.
Still think we should have bought Shay Given.
I think he going to be a great keeper however i cant help but feel that an experienced keepr such as Friedel or Szwarzer would help him alot.
Who is he meant to learn from Almunia & Fabianski dont make me laugh.
he aint as great as we make out, in fact he pales to someone like joe hart.
Still got lots to work on, he'll get there in the end.

What are you on about? Joe Hart's a legend.
He best had try hugging any of our ball boys! Could find himself in trouble!!!!!!!

Joe Hart was lucky that he went out on loan for a full season and then had someone like Given to learn from.
Szez has had the likes of Almunia and Fabianski.
If i had it my way he woul probably have gone out on loan to a PL or Championship team ths season but as we have useless keepers he has had to learn via playing through the 1st team.
Not Ideal but its better than having clown 1 and clown 2 in goal.
As for the penalty thing, I think it's just a trigger movement. Lots of goalkeepers seem to do it. It probably gets their muscles in motion in order to make a good dive. Or it's just a habit, I don't care!
the pen thing must be to put him off, but the first goal wasnt his fault. bob wilson would tell him to come out and make himself big, lets not forget this was no 1on1, verm was back and saha was never going for the chip.
If saha did that 1000000 times it would never deflect in the unfortunate way it did. they were lucky and the second goal is because Bale cheated because he is not good enough
You're right OP in the fact that he plays too far off his line and gets caught out. Unlucky deflection on Sunday but he still comes out too far.
That said, I think he is going to be top, top class for the next 10/15 years.
