Just because its what we expect from Trap doesnt make it ok ffs. He is treating our best young players like dirt and doesnt allow our best players to play to there strengths. All week in the media he was telling us how Duffy and McClean would make there debuts. Yet he waits untill 10 minutes are left to bring on McClean and sticks the finger up to McCarthy,Duffy and Coleman by bringing on journeymen such as Hunt and Green.
He did that last year as well, promised the fans that Coleman and McCarthy would get a chance, but didnt even take them off the bench. Any player that the fans take a liking to, Trap treats them like crap. Marc Wilson, S.Ireland, Clark, Lawrence, Foley, Tony Stokes have all been treated like dirt. Its almost like he is doing it in purpose as a F U to the fans. See if McCarthy and McClean were average like Whelan they would have at least 20 caps by now
He actually said I promise you that Coleman and McCarthy would get a chance?
How do you know McCarthy and McClean are above average? McClean has hit a wee hot spell but never played top football before December. McCarthy plays in the worst team in the prem. What have they done to deserve to be picked?
Indeed. He said that McCarthy and Coleman will play at some point. They never did of course. Then the next game when McCarthy finally made his debut it was in the last five minutes despite it being a friendly.
Ive watched McClean for years and he is more talented than Hunt who is plain woeful. Hunt is like 30 now? whats the point in giving him a chance in a friendly when he is never going to much for us?
Whelan is and always has been awful for us. He had two good games during the euro qualifiers. Dont let Trap fool you when he refers to him as our Gattuso. Wilson, Clark and McCarthy all deserve a chance in a friendly at least ffs its not too much to ask.
"Ive watched McClean for years and he is more talented than Hunt who is plain woeful"
Come off it Hunt has been one of our better performers for the past few years. He is no Zidane but gives 100% everytime. I can safely say most agree with me seeing that he is the one player that lifts the crowd when he comes on(I have been to every home game for the last 5 years bar the last one so I know what im talking about). Whelan is another that gives 100%. Trapp likes to play two dm so it's either him or Green(If Trapp thought McCarthy would fit the system he would have played ahead of Green the other night) it has to be Whelan.
Hunt best performer? yeah right. Just because Hunt and Whelan give 100 percent doesnt mean they should start every game. I would gave 100 percent so maybe I should start the game.
To be honest , you should be beating a team like the Czech Rep at home. Its the worst team they have had in years. I know it was only a friendly. Anyway, did McClean play? How did he do. Genuine question as i didnt see the game.
No doubt Alex was watching the game as it was too painful to watch the minnows that are NI. By the way, has anyone noticed the size of Steve Davis chin? How awful does he look when the camera zooms right into his chin when he is moving his lips to GSTQ. worst anthem ever. 11 players and about 3 guys moving there lips. Hardly the most ispiring anthem. Ah well, as long as it keeps Jeffrey Donaldson and co happy who cares?
What was the "yeah right" for Robbie?
Ahhh Godfather de Mungo is back i see, has Strabane regained its 56k internet connection?? Quite ironic you should be noticing Steve Davis' chin when he is singing GSTQ , i thought you would have been watching your adopted ROI team , seems im wrong , oh the irony. not the brightest spark ,are you?
I bet your a great catch yourself at the local barn-dances up that hellhole that people call Strabane. Whats the latest fashion up there, dungarees?

As opposed to Soldier's are wee...............hardly pc or inclusive in 2012.

Now now alexia. I watched the Ireland game, my country btw not my adopted country, and after the anthems it went to a break. Switched over to the Wales game then to the NI game and Steve Davis chin was staring back at me whilst about 3 out of 11 players mumbled GSTQ. 2 of them were English btw. Hardly the most inspiring anthem but as long as it keeps Jim Allistar hot blooded for Lizzie then all is well forget about those players from the nationalist community. You then have the chhek to complain about McClean and co?
And whats your problem with Strabane? your painting it as some backward hole like Ballysally in Coleraine? or the Shankill? instead of painting it like every other town in NI, booming with unemployment. But ah well, as long as NI is apart of the UK who cares about jobs eh? as long as Peter can gloat about being ruled by English people then all is well eh? As long as bitter Gregory can keep saying London infront of Derry as manytimes as possible in the one sentence all is well eh?
And whats your problem with Strabane? your painting it as some backward hole like Ballysally in Coleraine? or the Shankill? instead of painting it like every other town in NI, booming with unemployment.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was the point i actually fell off my seat laughing. Ballysally looks like Bel Air compared to Strabane Mungo. Place is a dour backwards dump. No offence of course honeybunny , not your fault of course.
As for the old "i was just flicking channels" chestnut , that doesnt wash with me , i do hope you stood up when it was on!
Listen Mungo , i came on and asked a serious question about McClean and you laid into me and NI. Ask Robbie or the others (or even check yourself) , i have always wished the lad well and respected that it was his choice. When have i ever complained?
As for the plop spouted about the politicians , i dont care , i dont follow politics in any shape or form. They are all useless.
Boys in Green
Just pointing out that the Eire anthem is hardly all inclusive after GSTQ was ridiculed on the thread.
NI fans were slated for wearing Gers tops............while ROI wore Celtic tops at games at the same time.
Have to have a level playing field.

You must not have been to Strabane if you think its worse than Ballysally. At least we dont sound like dour queen lovers like those Ballysally folk.
As for my net connection? Fibre Optic.
As for my other comments, I wasnt taking a dig at you personally, just the attitude of NI fans in general. 'Another young nationalist player switches to the republic, ah well as long as we can get three of our players mumbling GSTQ before the match all is well'. That is the view of alot of NI fans. They would rather have there english flags and anthem than have the likes of McClean and Gibson play for them.
Considering i was the only NI fan commenting on the thread , its fair to say it was aimed at me.
Welcome to the fibre optic world which must be the new BT Infinity. Congrats.
Havent been to Strabane in the last 3 years , it mustve been cleaned up in that short space of time. if so , apologies
Well what needed to be cleaned up? always seemed cleaned up to me.

Oh so political............why?
The beautiful game does not need an Irish nationalist analysis.
