You are 7 behind Chelsea not 5

short answer..nope.
it might be a good thinking as we can start blooding the youngsters like Coates, and put some good attacking performances to get some goals and entertain. maybe when we play more at ease, the goals will come..

"And Kuyt.. Mr Consistency ( My fave player ) needs to play."

.......................................................................................

Sorry couldn't take this seriously after that comment, don't get me wrong, I will always appreciate what Kuyt has done for us but was absolutely AWFUL yesterday and for most of the season and easily our most inconsistent player.

Re article title. No!!!!! I don't think we can get 4th place. Other teams above us might drop a good few points between now and the end of the season but unfortunately I think we will drop points too.

No. I fully agree with Truetored that the time has come to blood the youngsters. Kenny won't though, as long as it is mathematically possible for us to get 4 th. then, and not before, will we see any of the next generation. JimmyTheRed

Mathematically still in it. In reality never a chance.

If we were to win our next 4 league games then we would be back in with a chance.

But we won't.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we lose one or both of our next two (Sunderland away and Everton at home).

Only scousers ever actually thought you were ever in it

no

had we beaten Arsenal we would have been favourites for 4th

But now we have no chance

The most frustrating thing is that this season the 4th spot was absolutely there for the taking. Neither Arsenal or Chelsea have been consistent and with one canny signing in January who knew where the back of the net was it could have been ours for the taking

Damien Comolli and transfer team in January =

I will eat a horse shhite sandwich if we finish 4th this season. Poor tactics, poor sub decisions, late subs and the massive under-performances of carroll, adam, downing and henderson have made this season a disappointment.

No way, the problems we have finishing will keep cropping up until we make a signing or two. We don't have the right blend yet.

these same players finished just fine for us in previous seasons or their former clubs. And didn't miss penalties.

Tactics have been good enough, performances have been enough to be comfortably in the top 4 now.

Lack of confidence in front of goal has been a plague to us. I have no idea why.

if we can actually take our chances in our home games then certainly we can get there. but lets be honest we've been saying that all season and it simply hasn't happened. there's hope but i can't see it happening

Surely the title is not out of reach for you, just wait for caroll to come good and you will be laughing, just like the rest of us are now hahahahahahahaha

it must be a curse.

someone needs to find the old lady with one eye who placed it on us and make things right. Buy her a bacon butty and a pint or something.
