I did enjoy Bentley completing his hat-trick against Manchester United. I'll never forget the look on Rio's face!
Too many to mention!!
Garner breaking the Rovers goal scoring record at home to City. Top corner.
Shearer (2) against United in 94.
Any Tugay goal from outside the box.
I enjoyed Roberts away at Bolton from the half-way line.
Shearer at home against Norwich when we scored 7 and he chipped the keeper.
Shearer off the bar against QPR in 4-0 rout.
MGP's two away at Man United.
Yakubu this year away at the same club, left footed.
But in line with the thread, I think my favourite ever goal would be Colin Hendry scoring the winner in the 87 full members cup final. We took over 30,000 that day and Charlton could only muster about 13,000. We had beaten three first division clubs I think to get there and were 2nd favourites to win on the day. It was a very proud moment for our club at that time.
Showing my age to younger fans! No full Internationals playing for Rovers at that time and whichever way we look at it, the progress and experieinces gifted to us since Jack Walker invested has been absolutely amazing.
As for skill and occasion, Benni McCarthy's goal in the Cup against Arsenal would bear comparison with any other.
Jansen's header against Preston which got us promotion, and Andy Cole in the Worthington Cup Final for sheer jubilation stick out in more recent times...
As noted already, any number of Tugay screamers from outside the box were always a treat.
Also: Super Steven Reid against Wigan, Boxing Day a few years ago...
Finally any number of superlative strikes from "The Scottish Wayne Rooney" a.k.a David Goodwillie.
Also, even though it ended in heartbreak and one of the
worst away experiences of my life- Friedel against Charlton.
Curse you Claus Jensen!!!
Matt le Tissier for Southampton against Rovers in 94 was the best I've seen
"Matt le Tissier for Southampton against Rovers in 94 was the best I've seen"
Great goal. We won 3-2 I think, Le Tissier scored two crackers. One of which left Flowers in the back of the goal.
Shearer scored a good un that game too. I mean it was Shearer so people took it a bit for granted but in terms of technique pulling the ball down from about chest height perfectly into his path while sprinting and burying it into he bottom corner with his next touch, not bad.
Not the best, but my favourite ever goal was Roberts against Chelsea in the cup semi. Glorious weather, phenomenal atmosphere in the Rovers end, and we'd been putting on the pressure throughout the 2nd half. The entire 25,000 following just went absolutely ballistic.

Cue MaccyT reminding us about MGP missing THAT header.
We should've won that game ^
Seem to remember being stuck on the last train back.
Whoever it was that pulled the emergency cord between
Darwen and Blackburn: I hate you.
Cue MaccyT reminding us about MGP missing THAT header.
---------------------------------------------
That was the beginning of his demise, and I was about 20 rows up right behind the header and it looked in, to this day I will forever hate Ballack
But yeah, the Roberts goal is a favourite, along with his winner at Fulham in the 08/09 season that effectively kept us up!
Only goal I really remember from my younger days was Shearer getting his 100th career goal at Ewood in a 3-0 win over Spurs, nice curler in the top corner, I was on the back row of the Riverside.
Other personal favourites I witnessed:
Bentley late winner at Reading - wonder goal!
Samba 95th minute winner at Spurs - epic!
Derbyshire 89th minute at Newcastle
Weirdly Benni Mac and Roberts goals against City when Hughes first returned, was a massive crowd on the night and was a very heated atmosphere, it meant so much to the fans going 2 up against them, but also one of the lowest I've ever felt after a game when Robinho equalised and Hughes and Bowen ran on the pitch!
Andrews last minute 25 yard strike at WBA to get a 2-2 draw.
Warnock away at Villa under Ince, we lost 3-2 in the end, but possibly the best 45 minutes of Rovers I've seen in a long time, wonderful team goal.
shearers 2nd at home against united in 93-94. ball over the top, bruce and pally made to look foolish, smashed straight down the middle, schmeichel left flat on his back, magic!
Ahhh, keep revelling guys, I almost forgot the V word existed.
Some fine contributions, as yet nobody has matched my answer and 'best' is possibly a bit of a red herring. Best might mean technique, atmosphere, occasion, importance etc.
Shearer's header against Newcastle in 95. No-where near his best goal, but certainly most important. Loved his hat-trick goal against QPR, 4-1 the same season, 30 yard screamer going in off the bar.
Dunn's long ranger against Birmingham a few years ago was a belter, but probably my favourite was Jansen's against Bolton in the promotion season, I remember them singing 'it's only 10 points' as they were well ahead of us in the league at the time, and we reeled them in. I can't remember if it was a league or cup game, but he dummied the keeper perfectly and chipped it in. Hignett added a superb 4th in the last few minutes.
How spoilt we were...
You never specified that my favourite goal had to be one scored by Blackburn (or even a Blackburn player) only a goal I've seen since following Blackburn so..
Zinedine Zidane - Champions League 2002 - Real vs Bayern

Dusty you've cracked part of the puzzle but I was definitely watching Rovers!
Despite my youth, I was a huge Gianfranco Zola fanboy when he was at Chelsea, so this has to go in my favourite all time goals.

Great guy Zola. Love the way he picked the fan up who ran onto the pitch and hugged him. These days as soon as players make any movement towards fans after scoring, the ref starts blasting away on his whistle like a spoil-sport t*** (really hate that) and any nearby stewards aggressively shove the players in the opposite direction.
And the golden envelope answer is...
Jamie Redknapp free kick!
