no they wont accept... it will get closer to 40mil (£ and then we will accept.... just hope this saga is done soon so we can get on with business and appoint a new captain...
I nominate Gervinho
who the hell is gervinho?lol
£35 million and a couple of youngsters.
They can join Ignasi Miquel, Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin in ensuring Barcas DNA is strong at Arsenal.
That way we can continue to have the yearly circus.
Dont you know Gervinho? he's the next Ricardo Fuller.
New captain has to be Denilson
I think we'll sell him for around 40M, but that not enough imo. Selling him for anything less than 50M is stupid.
I think we should just accept it and then send Diaby to Barca wearing a Cesc shirt. They'll never know.
I reckon its should be around 40Mil probably 45Mil if im honest.

i think he's easily worth 50m. I think we will accept £40m though, good deal for barca. If we were selling him to another club we would probably get close to 50. I mean we should never settle for fabregas going for the same price as 3 months of form carroll.
We already gave them a bargain with henry. Even at the time he was easily worth up to 30m. I really hope we dont give in at 35m
Wenger should tell Barca, 35 million will only get you a cart horse named Carroll, the breeding rights alone for Fabregas is worth 35 mill. To be honest, why would Barcelona pay anymore than 35 mill for a player they don't even need?
The real question is why can't they offer an even number? Last season it was 33, then this season 27 and 35. What have the got against even numbers? A nice and aesthetically pleasing 36 would suffice
Why doesn't Wenger ask for 35 and Afellay??
Sounds a good deal rather than all these yougsters dt will carry der Barca disruptions to d youth team
Here we go again. Because Carroll was bought for 35m, Cesc should atleast fetch 350m. You dont get it. Liverpool were desperate and waved their chequebook about like no tomorrow. Barcelona will not go above 40m in my opinion. They know Cesc wants to come to them so they can either bid now or wait a year and let you keep an unhappy player for another year and then bid a lower amount again next year.
@Mr Chelsea
It would suit us down to the ground if they won't pay the fee for Cesc. He's under contract until 2015, so he's in no danger of leaving on the cheap for a while yet. If Barca want him they should stump up the cash. Unfortunately I think our board will cave, but if I were in charge I'd tell Barca that there's no way they can have him for less than £60m, and then start listening at the £45m mark upwards.
Fact is we are in a good bargaining position, and whilst many will say that Cesc may sulk, not give his all, etc., he's a pro and ultimately would want to prove how good he is in order to keep Baca interested. Quite rightly we can point out to him that he isn't guaranteed a place in Barca's first team, and whilst I personally believe he'd break into it in no time if the manager picks on form and not reputation, the fact is Xavi and Iniesta are not going to be easily dislodged. Look at what happened to Owen at Real Madrid. Every time he came off the bench he scored goals, he was their best player, and yet every week he spent 60 minutes on the bench whilst an out of form Raul started because he was a club hero.
Cesc is a huge asset, and if our club had the resolve, we could easily keep him another year. Regardless of what Barca say, his value as a player is only going to go up, even if his contract length costs go down. We should keep him at all costs imo.
I will offer a fiver and a meatball sub, do you accept?
Fabregas assists record is quite incredible!
Hes only 24 he will be superb at Barcelona!
Great replacement for xavi!
Hold up MAn Schitty have pulled out of the bidding for Sanchez, Barcas No,1 target this summer with the player saying he wants a move to Spain.
That means Barca will probably stump the cash for him leaving very little of their reported 40 million left to bid for Cesc, unless they sell.
Expect Cesc to be on the training pitch at London Colney Tuesday.

no chance cesc for 35M, you'd think a spud was in charge of our transfers.

Agree with what you said mate but the board I think will be forced to sell purely because the same thing will happen next year and the year after and the year after and if im not right, doesnt his value drop every year it gets closer to his end contract date?
Barcelona were happy to pay over the odds for many many players but this one, I dont think they're budging because they know Cesc wants them and they're the only club he will go to.
Did they offer 40m last year? They're offering slightly less this year?
Id say take the money. Say bye bye and invest in a defender midfielder and striker.
Plus the board ideally want this to end now so they can start planning for next season no? Its in both your interests to get it sorted now. Either he comes out and says im staying (which he probably wont) or you sell him.
40m has a nice even ring to it.
