It seems to be something in the players as several managers have tried different tactics with basically the same group of players, except no Maynard now for the fast counter attack, and for several years they have dropped back to protect a one goal lead and it seems to be something ingrained in this group that is what they do. I've seen GJ and DM waving them forwards frequently and I wonder if it is something KM instilled in the players when coaching? I don't know the answer but it is pretty well part of their make up now.
