Andy Carroll can do what he wants, he'll never get that good just by watching Llorente.

behave yourself gooner. For ncastle he was awesome, go and watch some footage or even post a question on the ncastle board, you will soon find out.

He hasnt settled at Liverpool yet, but he has and i hope will again do what Llorente is doing.

Carroll will never be in the same class as Llorente.

I wish it weren't true, but it is.

Andy Carroll is no where near him!!!!!

At the same age Carroll has a better goals scoring record than Llorente. Like most big strikers, Llorente gets better with age. It's only been in the last 4 years that Llorebtr has been scoring double figures every season. Carroll will get better with age too.

The difference is that like most Spanish players he has better technique than English players.

Llorente is everything I want Carroll to be.

Reckon we edit Carroll's face onto Messi's body in a compilation video and see if Bilbao will do a straight swap for Llorente?

Bilbao are my favourite team in La Liga, and I thought they would be too good for Man Utd with the likes of Muniain Martinez and Llorente, If Rafa was manager he would be beating a path to their door trying to sign one of them.

Sadly we are more likely to end up with Matt Jarvis and Steven Fletcher and Nathan Redmond.

The idea that only Rafa would be trying to sign those players is ludicrous Aggers.

Its one thing wanting to sign players, another completely to actually manage to sign them.

Atleti are on the verge of the CL is they finish the season well. They are in the Copa Del Rey final and look set for a long run in the EL.

Why would any of those players leave their home team (as basques), to sign for us at the moment? Why would any of them leave to sign for anybody else at all?

Why would any of those players leave their home team

-------------------

One word, dinero, Muniain has already been touted around European clubs at about 20m if reports are to be believed, but no club has taken the risk as he's so young.

Reports from the Liverpool Rumours website.

Hardly facts is it?

Besides, why would Muniain choose Liverpool, even if that were true?

You can't blame the manager for having realistic transfer targets. This is not Football Manager.

Righteous, we used to have a team which contained Torres, Alonso, Arbeloa, Mascherano, we've replaced them with Carroll, Hendo, Adam and Enrique.

Enrique is the only decent replacement for those four and Arbeloa. I agree with you about them being unrealistic signings now, but I think the story would have been different if Benitez had stayed on.

Carroll showed the kind of form Llorente is currently in back when he was at Newcastle, but ever since signing with us he hasn't got anywhere near that level again.

We were in the CL when we had those players.

You think any of them would have joined without CL football? Maybe Masch as he was at West Ham, but none of the others.

Benitez would have the same problem now. If he had stayed we still would have been a disaster zone at the start of last season until the takeover, we still would have been out of the CL last season, and we still would not qualified for it for this season.

He MIGHT have made a better fist of qualifying this year, we will never know, but he wouldn't have found attracting players any easier.

The CL is everything to players nowadays.

I remember one bbc 606 people said Carroll was better than Llorente when Carroll was on top form..

Hicks and Gillette have a lot to answer for and then the disasterous appointment of Hodgson made the problem worse.
