7 t b... we train them for you as your clubs are crud at that. We gave your league people like Van Bronkhorst, Tugay, Arteta, Larsson, etc
We would train players for you as well but your league is too rubbish for them to consider. Whether we are talking home grown players like Rooney and Scholes or foreign imports like Ronaldo the premiership has a much more impressive record of training up players to a higher standard.
You are stretching back quite far with Larsson but he is one of my favourite players from Scottish football in the 90's, quality player.
Why would you want to watch it when you have the best league in the world, Ath Bilbao
Why would you want to watch it when you have the best league in the world, Ath Bilbao
Just used to keep an eye out on what was happening in Scottish football back when you were at least a relevant league. These days though I don't really see the point, would rather watch the higher standard of football you can see in the championship or even league 1 rather than that poor excuse for a league up North.
Nothing wrong with having the 2nd best league in the world, most Scots would bite your arm off for such a blessing. Most Scots would probably bite your arm off regardless but you get what I am saying...

Scottish football is poor, we all know this, we are not deluded! The question is how can the top team in the so called best league in the world not compete with average Swiss and Spanish sides not to mention struggle to beat a skint rangers??
We are a gentle bunch, quite armless really!
That is the basis of your argument?!
An English team beating a Scottish team by only a goal...
I am going to assume you have been drinking heavily throughout the day... I guess it probably is the only way to make Scottish football bearable!
United have done worse than this a good few years back, actually finished bottom of our CL group. It can happen in transition years, especially when we are facing our toughest domestic challenge for some time, the world most expensive team.
We played reserves in Europe to rest our main players for the league.
Lastly Scottish fans are deluded, there seemed to be some genuine surprise when both the OF teams got knocked out by teams from very low quality leagues, the Scots are deluded as they actually think their league is better than some of the others!
Seen as we are never going to agree on a similar opinion how about we just use a simple mathematical calculation to figure this out... like the coefficients for example, ohh wait that doesn't suit your argument? never mind then.
Just pointing out that Man u struggled over 2 legs to beat a financially crippled team from a 3rd rate amateur league.
You can use the coefficients if you want but remember to factor in the difference in size of country, population, TV income, etc.
We are talking about which leagues are the best... I don't really see where all those conditions you list feature in that.
So basically it is as I said, the coefficients despite just being a calculation rather than an opinion are completely ignored by you because they show your argument up for the flawed rubbish it is...
I am guessing you are talking about the CL group stage games against Rangers ?
We played reserves sides twice (as we knew we were meeting some truly amateur opposition) they parked 11 men on the edge of their area in a desperate attempt to get a draw.
For a comparison see Crawley town who also only lost by a goal to a Man Utd reserve side....
They were a non league team at the time, so about SPL level and they got a similar result.
The English league is better than the Scottish league, absolutely no doubt doubt about it, to compare directly is ridiculous because it is not a level playing field, The PL is bigger with more teams because England is a larger country and therefore has more potential fans from a larger population and is much much richer due to sky tv.
Wayne Rooney reserve
So I assume you never make comparisons between Barca, Real and English clubs. As Barca and Real can negotiate their own TV deals they have access to hundreds of millions more than the English clubs.
This on top of a larger population which produces better footballers and a country which allows tax breaks to highly paid foreign footballers. Not to mention the climate which helps attract all kinds of footballers who don't like the British weather....
So basically if you cannot compare EPL to the SPL because of what you said then you cannot compare the EPL to La Liga because of what I said.
Lets do it regardless though, would be unfair to use opinion here as we both share different ones, so let us use the UEFA coefficients which decide how many European places different league get...
Ohh look, England on top despite Spain's many advantages... game, set and match.
Lastly it is possible to include one or two first team players in a side of mostly reserves... or if you put Hooper out with you under 19's side do they automatically become your first team?!

We just playing the game where we list teams better than Celtic or something?!
Seems a bit of a pointless game, I will save you a bit of time. Almost every professional club in existence bar the few poor clubs you regularly beat in the SPL.
Don't forget Rangers either, Scotland's number 1 team, who Celtic quickly realised they could only takeover if they went bankrupt. What a poor club Celtic are... can only win the SPL by bankrupting the only good team in the league...

Perfectly understandable Towton, can't blame you...
You can look a bit stupid however if you take the mick out of the premier league when your league is pub standard football.

Scotland is a small country, it's football league is terrible, having this Celtic fan trying to mock us has really cheered me up, it's nice when something makes you laugh!
Scotland is the only country in the world where a soft drink <iron bru> outsells coka cola!
True fact.
As for Celtic an rangers joining the English leagues, no thanks we don't need a return to hooliganism and sectarianism.
