Levy is by far and away the most important person for Tottenham. Not even a contest.

The real question is, which one of them is more important to Yeovil Town?

Levy all the way, managers will come and go a chairman like this tho is not so common. Levy

Flawless Victory!

Not flawless now, i love levy but went for arry.
The last 3 seasons have been awesome as a spurs fan, that is primarily down to redknapp. (or you could argue levys appointment of redknapp), but you could also say levy got us to the ramos situation.
Theyve both great for spurs.

Levy as i dont have to read about his opinion on the state of the universe everyday unlike harry who feels we need to know his opinion on everything

The most important person at any football club is the manager.

posted on 9/3/12

Agree Spurcat he is the most important but as long as we make the next manager the right one then nothing changes

Because its the most important , you can have the wrong manager in place and thats where a good chairman comes in

We dont want Harry to go but rather him than Levy

if it had been down to harry Modric would of gone to Chelsea for about 25 million and we might be in 5th with chelsea 3rd

exactly.... but who appoints the manager?

so if you have a rubbish chairman, you have a small chance of getting a good manager...

"The most important person at any football club is the manager."

For the overall performance of the TEAM.

Your team can be mediocre but in a solvent club.
Or a very successful team in a club one whisper away from a winding up order.

Chronic - You're an intelligent guy, so you don't need me or anyone else to explain to you why the manager is the most important person at a football club.

As for "rubbish chairmen", well the problem is that most chairmen are square pegs in round holes, they do not have football backgrounds and not a lot of football knowledge. Remember Brian Clough's autobiography where there was a blank page which was his way of saying what the average director knew about the game ??

It never ceases to amaze me how many chairmen can be absolutely brilliant at making loads of money, yet can tehn make a right pigs ear of running a football club.

The best chairmen are those who have been involved in the game, Whelan at Wigan for example and Kenwright at Everton is one who will let the manager manage and not panic when the team loses a few games.

Our own Daniel Levy has many excellent things going for him, but even he gets it wrong sometimes (the Jol affair).

I remember the story of when Milan Mandaric and Harry were sitting in the stand at Portsmouth and the fans were chanting Harry's name. Mandaric supposedly turned to Redknapp and said "Harry, whay aren't they chanting my name ?? I am the man who has made you the manager and has put all the money into this club, yet they chant your name and not mine".

Harry's reply was "It's because I am the manager and the manager is more important than the chairman".
