I suspect, maastricht, that it has more to do with the fact that it doesn't matter anymore. While we still had some faint hope there was more interest, but Bristol City put paid to that. Oh, and Reading just scored too...
A'int over till that FAT LADY SINGS....all we have
to do is WIN EVERY GAME!!!
I confess that it is beginning to be hard to whip up very much enthusiasm, after so many duff performances, against feeble opposition, have torpedoed our promotion possibilities. When folk start using the phrase "mathematically possible', you know the fat lady is clearing her throat.
It is apparent from the radio commentary that Reading are a class apart, and if we squeak a draw or even fluke a win there this afternoon, neither of which I expect, that will not alter the fact that we are not good enough to win this division. There is no escaping the fact that players like Peltier, Morgan, Dyer, Danns, Kennedy and - from the sound of it - Drinkwater will never get us out of this division.
Glum.
Says it all about the quick fix never being the answer! That Reading team has been a work in progress for a couple of seasons now and are finally looking the part. In all honesty though I wouldn't of said they have many Premier league class players but they certainly do the job in the championship.
ey we could do it today but to get promotion you need to build a team and not rebuild team every six months
aslong as it stays 1-0 we are still in with a shout of getting something, Howards come on, catalyst for a turn around surely!
Howard on for Beckford? As much as I respect and am fully behind NP, sometimes I just can't begin to understand his decisions. I mean, what's the point? If he wanted to take Beckford off (and I don't understand that either) then Schlupp's on the bench...
I can see what your saying, I can only think hes done as hes the only forward who might be able to hold the ball up give us abit of height in there compared to what schlupp offers
Well, we've been peppering their goal since Howard came on, so somethings working better. I should say the vicinity of their goal, since most have missed.
your still on form Vulpes
"the vicinity of their goal"
That looks like game over
True, but he's hardly the future is he? Surely we'd be better off using these last few matches to blood a few of the players who might make the difference next season, such as Schlupp and Marshall.
It's even more galling that Jason Roberts, a player most of us would have welcomed with open arms, has run rings around our defence. We didn't we try and sign him? And why did we try and sign Morgan?
I'm not watching and I know stats don't tell the complete story, but 7 shots on target out of 17 (8 out of 9 for Reading) indicates we're a bit profligate in front of goal.
It could just be one of those games where nothing goes right, but I saw a stat in the paper last week where we were top of the shots off target league for the division.
MAASTRICHT FOX.
WE CAN WIN THIS ONE....& probably will..
We just are not ready for promotion. But would be nice if between now and the end of the season the lads could put in a few good performances rather than just thinking about their summer hols! Im sure Pearson wont allow that and will be nice to see them put some good football together for us to build on in the summer. I still think its Svens fault as much as people can say we were 2 points off playoffs when he left yes we were but we had played half the games we have now and we werent playing any good football in an awfully unbalanced side! Just hope Pearson can turn things round
I see the cretins have been let out for an away day.
yes they are called leicster city
Re tard can't even spell .
missed the letter E out due to laughter of your club spending millions on players and yet no where near the top 6
Tad ironic coming from a Leeds fan don't you think? You have been a laughing stock for a good ten years now. Go and complain about Leeds as you lot seem to enjoy that. Mincing on together.
