I don't think Liverpool fans would put up with MON's 10 men behind the ball at all times and hope to nick the game tactic

I mentioned Martin O'Neil because every team he has managed he has improved therefore his expertise in getting the best out of players and taking clubs forward is what we need...?
Mourinho says he admires us and is looking for a Prem team next season so QED.
I've said in another a post that I would give Kenny 1 more season BUT I would state that has to sell/swap/just get rid of Carroll, Downing and Kuyt. Then back him to buy QUALITY cover for Lucas, a right and left winger, a creative midfielder and a top class striker.
In fact I would recall Aquilani aswell.
With this, if he failed to get 4th next season he walks/fired.
Martin O' Neill's man management of players is world class and I have no doubt he could completely turn Liverpool's fortunes around.
Think about it, he has taken Sunderland from relegation threatened to only two points behind Liverpool. If he was there from the start of the season, Sunderland would be above Liverpool.
At Villa he had them challenging for the top four, for the majority of the season.
He took my own team, Celtic, to a European final.
MON would never manage Liverpool FC.
I think he still has a little grudge from his Forest days when we were so dominant.
Martin O'Niel is a world class manager I would neve doubt that ever and if it is not with Liverpool it will be another top team he will manage in the future. I would even go as far as saying he could be the answer to chelsea's problems as well? I just don't want Roy part 2 when fans are calling for the managers head I don't think it's good for the club and goes against the traditions of Liverpool and that why at the end of the season I feel Kenny should do the right thing? We have scored less goals than Blackburn and have similar points tally to last season whatever way we look at it after the money spent that is failure...
I have similar opinions about MON. When Rafa was replaced, I was quite vocal about this on the old 606.
It never went very well, despite the massive positive impact on all the teams he has managed being unquestionable. They get results and their levels of performance improve, but apparently he's a terrible manager
Good managers try many things out to solve their problems. Arsenal were having lots of problems in the start of the season. Even after the transfer window closed. Wenger promised to get it right. He made it despite his ordinary team. Rafa was going through many problems midway through the seasons. He was always saying he would work on those problems in training to get them right. I remember we were having problems scoring goals, defending set pieces and managed to get them right. We have been having scoring problem since the start of the season. Dalglish has not done anything about it. I think it is not just about the players we have. It is about trying different tactics and working on your problems in training until you get them right. Also, he seems he doesn't know our best team. He persists with Henderson who is scared to play football to save his life. He is not the sort of player to play against physical teams. Is he really English? A lot of players seem to have lost interest playing like Bellamy, Suarez and Downing. I don't blame them with so many poor players around them.
i think the players are just flat. they've won the carling cup so they think they've already achieved something this season. the arsenal game last week. they know they dominated the game and they know that if they just had someone upfront who can put the ball in the back of the net, then they would be a quality side. they know how close they are and there frustrated because of this.
they should be passionate about playing for liverpool. putting 100% effort in every game win, lose or draw. kenny needs to play the kids. they'll give some of the senior players a kick up the backside. if nothing else, the young boys will put the effort in. but i'm sure they'll lift the crowd who are also clearly depressed like the players and subsequently they'll lift the dressing room.

I think we are both agreeing to the fact Martin O'Neil with the resources Liverpool have would male us more competitive and improve our team? Can anyone really argue that point? If so I would have to see some pretty impressive examples as I think anyone with any knowledge of football would back him to turn it around he is what we need... Look at Sunderland as a perfect example and what he did with Villa?
>>We have been having scoring problem since the start of the season. Dalglish has not done anything about it.
I can't see what he can do to be honest.
He set the side out to attack, we created 1,000,000 iron clad sitter style chances and only put 3 of them away.
Maybe we need one of those corporate trainer types to come in and get everyone to do role playing and confidence building exercises with squishy stress balls
I just want to Add another thing.. Withou naming players names and vein perfectly BLUNT I don't rare England as being as good a football nation as the media make out, the best players England produce are mostly the defensive ones and their is some 'bright British tallent' out there but we certainly never signed the players of that calibre...
I'm still behind Kenny.
Before any judgement can be made on the season, it has to finish. There are still 11 league games to play and the FA cup to contest,
All I'm saying is that those who derided the very suggestion of O'Neil, were being blinkered. His overall record is excellent,
Sorry my I-phone predictive text is making me look like the worlds worst speller texting to quick lol
NO!!
MON will buy British crrrap as well.
He is too stubborn to "evaluate" himself. He wouldnt even admit to enjoying a glass of red wine now and then.(Nothing wrong with that) except that his supplier let the cat out of the bag last year. He still has the gall to say he is a Teetotaller!!!!! JOKER. Why you stick up for him i will never know and i bet half the contributors to your site feel the same.. My god. you call Davy Moyes but you must be the only supporters in the land who would not like him as their Manager. Brilliant!!!!!!
moyes is a very underrated manager, watched his interview on football focus today and his honesty comes across straight away, loyalty seems to be high on his list of priorites too, then we get benitez and when asked for his views on moyes, comes out with "moyes is lucky to be given so much time, and we at liverpool hardly spent anymore money than everton".
o'neil isnt what we need, his tactics are basic, if we got to europe he wouldnt know what to do.
Get Benitez back, no dodgy owners in charge now, i think with his back room staff and with Clarke kept we would be back in the top 4. Before you slate him let's not forget he still has all his staff in the academy
Yes I loved raffa as manager just remember O'Neil took Celtic to the Europa final...
