rev. you're always having a go at cotterill. only the other day you said that that fact that we look like we're getting new owners is a bad thing because cotterill will stay.

get off his back. he's working in a very difficult environment with a load of players that get injured every week. the only player who hasn't been injured is mcclearly. its no surprise that he is our best player.

back the team mate and back the manager

rev, cotterill's remit this year was to keep us up. Hopefully, it looks as tho he can do this, thanks to a very successful january transfer window. I agree, i don't think he is probably the guy to lead us to a top 6 finish, but give the guy a break, he's doing his job well at the moment!

Rev

SO`D is the right man for the job weve started playing half decent again since he came in, and 5pts clear or relegation.

Another great move from SC, bringing SOD to the club. Well done Cotterill (although i think the turnaround in fortunes is more to do with the new players on the pitch playing well, than SOD)

Rev, it isn't surprising that you think others misunderstand you.

In this thread alone you say that you have nothing against him personally, yet also that he lacks passion and integrity.

Get your act together, or continue to confuse us all.

What a stupid article!!

The author is clearly not open to opinion of anyone elses thoughts. I for one, agree with what Rev says. He's followed the reds for a good few years or so, so therefore entitled to his opinions. I reckon the author of this article is probably someone who's been down to the city ground only in the Billy Davies' era or possibly Calderwood?

Rev, keep your opinions coming and don't let this fool get to you. Not worth it chap!

I was fortunate enough to see many Cloughie teams play and therefore been a Red for nearly 30 years and seeing the demise of this great club is upsetting and are well within our rights to vent our feelings - Cotterill is not a good manager, hopefully he'll keep us up but anything else then forget about it. He's not promotion material in the Championship. He's just not.

Rev, I think your views on SC's managerial attributes are certainly valid, even if others disagree. However, when you say is a "decent kinda guy" yet that he lacks "passion and integrity" then you sound confused and wrong.

Personally, I have met him, and have no reason to doubt his integrity.

I think we spend a disproportionate amount of time on these boards discussing the merits of managers. Most of those chosen by ND have been about average (say 5 out of 10) as are most of the managers in the Football League. The exceptions have probably been Billy (7) Platt (3) and Kinnear (3).

In the past managers such as Ince, and Ferguson (D) have been touted as top managers of the future while no one seemed to spot Lambert or Rodgers.

Getting a good manager seems to need as much good luck as good judgement.

I'm talking in the footballing context, I mean some of SC decisions and tactical ability has been highly questionable - to quote him 'raddy needs to contribute more goals before getting a run in the team' and the he doesn't even put him on the bloody bench it's quotes like that and some of his ridiculous formations that make me believe that he hasn't the skill, know-how and yes integrity to get this team and club where it needs to be.

Fair enough Rev.
