If he joins Barca I could not give tuppence if he played, warmed the bench, made the tea or wrote a film script about a talking pie that goes back in time for some reason...

Once players leave Arsenal they are dead to me......dead i tells ya....

Maybe he'll end up like Hleb! Then we will see him back in the premiership in 3 years on loan to birmingham or bolton.

I'll wish him well he has been a top player for us and has always played his best for us but to be honest i won't care how barca get on with fab any more than without him

Why will he be miserable. He knows that if he joins Barca that he won't play as much as he does here. Do you think the likes of Adriano, Thiago, Bojan, etc are miserable when they are picking up trophies at the end of season? On top of that, why would you be so bitter towards a man who has given so much to this club and has always been professional even when Barca have asked him not to be. Cesc should he go will go with my blessing and I will follow him in Barca and hopefully watch him blossom into the best CM in the world because I know he can be.

I fear fabregas may turn into a horrible Busquets type of player at barca. Just look what happened to Mascherano, he was never that bad when at liverpool. I wouldnt be surprised if we start to see barca's influence rub off on cesc. We will start to see him diving all over the place, holding his face when someone taped him on the ankle. and shouting at the reff.
If he turns out like that i will be happy to see him primarily sat on the bench for barca then eventually shipped out to besiktas.
But if he remains as he is he might help to make barca seem less disgusting in my view.

He doesn't get in the Spain team because he plays in England.

Guarantee you he will get in it if he's at Barca.

It will be a terrible waste of his career, no offence but he isn't fit to lace the boots of Xavi, Iniesta or Busquets ! !

he won't get a game unless he gets some as holding midfielder (not his postion)

Then he might want to come back as Flamini and Hleb did?

I hate to say this but if he does go to Barcelona, he won't be sitting on the bench - he's too good for that, and is an easy fit into the Barcelona style. He may not play every game, but he won't be on the bench.
AND his game will improve as his colleagues will be generally better than at Arsenal. He will become a mainstay of the Spanish national team because he plays in Spain.
He will, however, probably acquire the loathsome 'gamesmanship' skills that we saw in the match against Madrid.
I hope he doesn't go, and if he does go, for a respectable amount. We don't owe Barcelona ANYTHING, and shouldn't grovel to their prestige.

This Barcelona team plays until the latter stages of every competition so around 50-60 games. Am I right? Even half of that would represent a good season wouldnt it.

look, we all know he was going to leave for Barca at some point. But the fact is he signed a long term contract with Arsenal- he needs to respect that.

Barca need to respect this too. It's insulting when they put in offers like £30 million for possibly a top 3 midfielder in the world. Considering his quality and the importance of Fabregas, the least they can do is put in a decent offer. They can easily make the money back from shirt sales/merchandise etc. the wise move for fabregas would be to leave around the time when xavi is fading away. It doesn't seem like it's going to happen this season. It's not like Fab is getting on... he's only 24 for christ's sake! midfielders have a long shelf life.

I won't be too devastated if he leaves. But I will dislike Barca even more if we're forced to succumb to a paltry bid.

People seem to think that Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets start every single game for barca. If Keita can start 27 games and appear in over 56 a season then I'm pretty sure Fabregas will get his fair share of game time

Mascherano and Afellay managed 73 appearances between them and 45 starts. As well as Jonathon, Romeu, Thiago and Roberto starting 15 games and appearing in 27 between them.

Comparing those stats to the fact Fabregas made only 35 appearances for Arsenal last year, there will be plenty of minutes for Fab. Barca ain't just about Xavi, Iniesta and Messi game in game out.
