You lot make me laugh with your excuses. It's alright for you to throw darts, lighters, coins, and even spit at us when we're at your shed?! Hypocrites the lot of you.

The idea that Derby fans singing about a dead chairman is okay because Forest fans hounded him out of the club, whilst still alive, is baffling and cringeworthy.

All clubs have idiots fans that take part in the verbal abuse of opposing fans. Unfortunately, all clubs also have idiot fans that then try and justify said actions.

Well my small opinion:

There is no defence for what was sung by a certain cross-section of fans and I will not even attempt to make one, it is disgusting, low and primitive.

However please do not judge me by their standards. I am sorry for being associated with those people in any manner of the word and I am upset at what happened, so in that regard I apologise to Forest and to Mr Doughty's family. However I know many Derby fans will share my feelings of disgust and loathing at this behaviour, so please do not consider us of this low standard.

This is the most pathetic thread I think I've ever read.

Grow up.

But twitters even worse. You've got Forest fans tweeting every journo in the world trying to get Derby in trouble. Derby fans bringing things up from years ago, or just inventing things to defend what is really undefendable. It's all very sad.

At last a voice of reason, Good man Sutton.
To tar us all with what went on last night is frankly discusting and far from the truth.
Regarding the cancelled game, I made my way over from Ireland and got diverted to Manchester, eventually getting to my hotel at 2am, so you can imagine my disappointment next morning to hear about the cancellation.
Did I get on these boards to rant and rave that they knew the snow was coming and should have been cleared etc, no my exact words where that after the events of the day before that my heart wasn't really in it and if his death had swayed the decesion to cancel it was the right as emotions would have been too raw.
I know I speak for the majority of Rams fans on here that what happened was the lowest of the low, but the reaction of some forest fans has been provocitive in the extreme.

MILF, Dave, Backo, Taiwan (and whoever else)

As for the "One Nigel Doughty" stuff, I think his death made people realise that a) it's only football, and b) he tried his best, investing his own fortune to help his club.

Oh, yeah, and best wishes to Shaun Barker, I don't like seeing players get injured, especially not injuries as serious as his.

Thanks to the Forest fans who show reason and realise that to attack us all for the mistakes of the few is wrong.

I am just sorry the affair turned out so sourly; this is why we cannot have nice things. :P
