You do realise Liverpool fans had nothing to do with Heysel, it was the police and the poor Stadiums fault

I have Italian parents, so obviously what happened at Heysel as I watched it live on TV had an effect on me.
2 days later my mother got a phone call from Italy telling her that a cousin had died there.
I try to be objective about what happened, I try to not hate Liverpool fans in general because of what a minority of them did that night. I think I succeed. Sh£t happens.
There are many fans from other teams who hate Chelsea fans because of what some of them may have done 10/15/20 years ago.
I am not trying to wind up Liverpool fans now; but the fences were up at Hillsborough because of (amongst other things) what happened at Heysel.
Stadiums are miles better now because of both of those tragedies and thats the only good things that came out of them.
Like I said I am not on the wind up, but whenever the BBC mention an incident involving Liverpool it seems that they are unable to say it like it is. I know that some parts of the media got a good kicking for, well blatently lying about what happened at Hillsborough but this programme I just watched made me go "Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ? "

It seems the media is scared of any negativity so far as crowd problems go after the Sun's much publicised gutter journalism regarding Hillsborough.
However, if events are being portrayed factually correctly, then of course Liverpool should be named.

The BBC are so pro-Liverpool it´s frightening.

When Liverpool lose they are always shown last or near the end on MOTD as an afterthought.

Also Lawro commented on all the Liverpool Carling Cup games this season that were shown on the BBC.

How can it be right for a Liverpool legend to commentate on Liverpool games ?

He´s never going to impartial is he.

But hey that´s the BBC for you.

Quite pathetic in their undevoted love of all things Liverpool.

To be fair, Butch has commentated on many of our games this season in the PL and CL

Are you 100% sure about that ?

I know Wilkins has occasionally been a pundit on Sky when Chelsea have played but I can´t remember him ever actually commentating on a Chelsea game.

Big difference.

Superb we are often on last when we lose.

I can assure you that the only time that Chelsea are on towards the end of MOTD is when we win as was shown last weekend when our win at Stoke was shown towards the end.

You can bet your house that had we lost to Stoke the BBC would have put us first or second for sure.

By the way Andy Townsend is a former Chelsea player but he rarely has a good word to say about Chelsea.
