That would be a sure fire way to guarantee the end of champions league football at Arsenal.

Because no other club would be stupid enough to pay him 55k a week.

All joking aside, that is quite frankly mental! Half of that would be pushing the envelope.

It makes you think really, there is so much dross/deadwood cluttering up the books, with players who are either very average or past it who are actually on as much or more money than a lot of the top performers who don't play for clubs in the "top 4".

Wage wise, I think the accountants will be taking out mafia contracts on the likes of Rosicky, Almunia, Denilson, Bendtner...

We'll never be rid of him. How much longer does he have on his contract?

Is there any chance we could get Denilson and Nasri to swap agents?

infinity...

This is partly Wenger's fault, I remember him backing the idea of paying younger and squad players more and keeping the first team contracts capped at a certain amount, for arguement sake 90,000.

Call me cold hearted but surely you pay a player according to what he is worth.

What is the point in having one the highest wage bills in Europe and then let players go or refuse to sign players based on their wage demands?

Almunia, Squillaci, Denilson, Bendtner will be the backbone of the team next season.

I am convinced of this
