I think most of the country would be absolutely delighted if he did.

Every time he has been Captain we've done terribly!

Couldn't care less about Terry tbh.

So which captain have we played well with recently then?!

I love the way everyone just blames JT for it all. The England team as a whole is rubbish.

All these haters out there are kn0bheads anyway. Slating him for cheating on his wife (Rooney, Giggs, Tevez and many more done the same).

He is still innocent about the Ferdinand case. Innocent until proven guilty. Don't care what anyone says.

Although I think Talksport is trash and Adrian Durham usually is just a wum, I think he talked sense yesterday slating the press for twisting Terry's words in a recent interview. It goes to show that the media are out to bring down our clubs and players and most people that buy papers like the Sun believe it all.

I don't blame him for our poor performances - it's simply a case that the captain especially should be someone that kids can look up to, never mind the other players, and terry is, frankly, Skum. (imo)

There is just nothing likeable about the man.

If we are serious about the Euro's there is only one leader for England JT....whatever you think of him

Any other choice is denying ouselves

If i had my way, he wouldn't even be considered for selection, just like other players who have had criminal cases hanging over them in the past weren't until they were cleared.

He didnt do a good job at world cup did he

He is not respected by his fellow pros so dont wnat him anywhere near the euros

Why is he sc um then? Come on, give me pure evidence as to why?

Google John Terry Charity work and it comes up with many results. Fact is that nobody on this board can judge him as a good or bad character because none of us knows him first hand. Only what we hear/read by someone else, trying to make a living with their reports.

If you told me you know him personally and he wasn't a nice person because he burnt your dog's tail or something then fine.

He wasn't captain in the world cup and most of the team didn't do well not just him!

Go and do some research on England´s record with Gerrard as Captain.

It´s poor, very poor.

Highlights of Gerrard´s career as England captain include England getting beaten by both Russia and Croatia to fail to qualify for Euro 2008 as well as England flopping at the last World Cup.

Very inspirational Stevie G

Superb

We've been crap under every captain in recent years.

I would love to see Gerrard turn his back on the England team, I think the whole old guard should be done away with.

Hart

Walker
Smalling
Cahill
Gibbs

Young
Jones
Wilshere
Ox-Chambo

Rooney

Welbeck

That would be my line up nowardays.

This is the first thing that came up when I googled JT Charity work!

John Terry was today in talks with a charity over claims he would donate £8,000 to it from a secret behind-the-scenes tour of Chelsea's training ground.

The England captain has made headlines over allegations that he knew cash was being paid for the tour.

It is claimed that he was present as a middleman accepted £10,000 and that he wanted £8,000 of the money to go to the Make A Wish children's charity.

A spokeswoman for Make A Wish said today the charity was working with his management to "clear everything up".

She added: "We have worked with Mr Terry in the past and have a good relationship with him. But all celebrity donations are completely confidential and we can't discuss them.

"When we have made it clear with his management, we may be able to. We are working on putting out a statement to clear everything up." Chelsea defended their captain over the Sunday newspaper claims. Manager Carlo Ancelotti said: "This is not true. The club, me, the players, have a lot of confidence in John Terry. He did nothing wrong."

An earlier statement from Chelsea said Terry "has a leading role" in hosting visitors and added: "The club is confident that at no time did he ask for or accept money in relation to visits to the training ground. However, we will further review access to our facilities and clamp down where there are gaps in the process."

I think it is accepted that ALL or nearly all PL footballers get involved in some form of charity work, however not ALL PL players get involved in unsavoury incidents on such a regular basis as Terry has in the past.

The incident in the Heathrow hotel abusing American tourists over the 9/11 tragedies, the day after the event!!!

Making large amounts money from the Wembley box he was allowed to use as England captain.

Doing the dirty on a friend and former team mate Wayne Bridges, forcing Bridges to decline playing for England again.

The above "misunderstanding" over the monies received for charging people to tour Chelsea's training ground.

Current court case in July over "alleged" racist comments against Anton Ferdinand in the QPR game last year.

Any of these scenarios on their own should warrant him never being England captain again, put them all together and you have a pretty damning indictment of Terry as a person and his moral turpitude!

not just footballers, all rich people. it's a great way to avoid paying as much tax due to all the deductions you can make.

Victor......................Correct, they are advised by their accountants on the best way to minimise their tax obligations!
