Can't see us shifting to a 4-4-2, that's a pretty outdated formation now, you can only get away with it against small clubs.
My guess is we'll stay with the fluid 451/433, and podolski will play left wing most of the time, and cover for rvp in the centre when necessary.

4-2-3-1 with Goetze in the no 10 position behind the striker.

That, that and that ^
Why would you think we're changing to 4-4-2?
You could say Goetze playing in the hole, trying to stretch teams and pull apart defences...

Oh sorry. It means I agree was you said about Götze.

In a way it's good that not a lot of people get that. Can't have been around the Internet long enough...
I like a free-flowing 4-4-2 narrow-diamond.
Song playing DM where he belongs, VP & Walcott as CF's (Walcott deserves a season to show he can play there). Götze in behind them as an AM and Wilshere alongside Arteta/Rosicky in LCM/RCM.
That works for me on Football Manager but no doubt will get slated for lack of width on here as usual.
With a free-flowing attack Götze and Walcott or Poldesak could pull wide.
I think you misspelt "Why" in your title.
