£15million for the hunt, you're having a laugh

"£15million for the hunt, you're having a laugh"

This.

Also, Llorente is 27, so he's not exactly young.

And Athletic are Basque-inspired.

I'd like to see us sign Hoilett, his directness is impressive - people give out about the money we paid for Downing, and he was never worth 20m, but if he was more direct then he'd have improved us quite a bit.

In fact, since Hoilett is available on a free and we're not going to attract the very best without Champions League football, I'd almost go as far as saying that giving Hoilett a chance is a no-brainer.

I'm sure i've read somewhere that Real have first refusal on Llorente?

It all depends what the manager has in his thoughts and we are going by what he's bought then worry.

liverpool should pay absolutely anything for huntelaar. its guarenteed to work.
1) liverpool need a goalscoring striker and huntelaar's goal scoring record is second to none.
2) him and luis suarez formed a great relationship when they were together at ajax.

jeffersen farfan is also a free. he'd be class on the right hand side.

he's also from shalke so the chances of us getting both huntelaar and farfan is slim

Huntelaar – good striker but I prefer Matri from Juve. He knows how to find the net. I prefer we sign both.
Marco Marin – wide player. Exciting and best suited for PL.
Cabaye – I miss Alonso. Cabaye reminds me of Alonso.

Huntelaar for £15m? No chance, you'll be needing to match what you paid for carroll atleast

I reckon Huntelaar is probably gettable for £25m, not £15m but Schalke are likely to be Champions League next season, so why leave?

Dont matter who he was watching not a cat in hells chance of any of them being at anfield next year . You are well down the pecking order , Its more likely that Suarez will leave than any of the above arrive.

Well I seriously doubt Torres will be here in any case; he now plays like Andy Carroll with his big toes cut off, and even a club with a transfer record as patchy as ours surely wouldn't touch him.

Seriously, even as recently as a couple of months ago I thought that he'd just realised that joining Roman Abramovich's Travelling Circus was a mistake, and that's why he he was playing like was on hêroin. I'd actually have taken him back (albeit at an eye-watering discount) because I thought that he could be resuscitated, but he really is awful, isn't he? I mean he just does not... Give... A... Shït. All he's short of doing is refusing to move at all, opting instead to stare with contempt at anyone who tries to give him the ball.

He's a busted flush, so thanks for saying he won't be joining us; you may as well be solemnly breaking to us the awful news that we, in fact, don't have ârse cancer.

Again with the Matri nonsense.

Years Team Apps† (Gls)†
2002–2004 Milan 2 (0)
2004–2005 Prato 28 (6)
2005–2006 Lumezzane 33 (13)
2006–2007 Rimini 25 (7)
2007–2011 Cagliari 109 (41)
2011– Juventus 38 (19)

All his life he has been playing in the weaker leagues until this year and he has a good if not outstanding record of 1 in 2.

He's 27 and in the first year of his contract at Juventus. Give it up. You have no clue.

Agree, anyone who wants Matri over Huntelaar after one alright season is crazy.
----------------------------------------------
It's one of this guy's many many idiotic thoughts.

Cue a rant about how he knows everything about other leagues around the world because he watches them on his wide-screen TV, whereas everybody else knows nothing.

Huntleers to old ......wont happen, lets just sign the first 11 of Athletico Bilbao team and take their manager too. We can use all english players for our 2nd 11 squad players lol..........making up the quota for home grown.

It amazes me how people come to a conclusion that a player of 27 is too old. He has a good five years at least left, at the top. He is not the type of striker to rely on pace and in case people haven't noticed we don't exactly have the pick of the bunch at the moment, if we could, which I highly doubt, be lucky enough to tempt Huntelaar to join us, then it would be a great signing.

TBF TOOR, the too old line may be to do with our policy of buying players of a certain age. Will the board throw 20 million plus at a player with 5 years left in him? I don't think they will.
--------------------------------------------
I think we got enough potentially good players, now it's time to get proven good players, with big game experience.
