Whos everyone favourite Hip Hop artists?
For me its Biggy, Pac and Lupe.
Mobb Deep, honourable mention.
Eminem, Nas and Snoop Dogg ( earlier death row snoop dogg)

Not technically hip hop, but has the best youtube argument of all time (starts page 5)
You like Eminem? Im not crazy about him, the only album I liked was 'the slim shady show'.
Love Eminem, he was a massive part of me growing up and was obsessed with his music when i was younger. I don't listen to him as much but i still put on his CD'S every now and then. Sorry mate but can't agree, marshalls mathers lp was his best album and one of the best rap albums of all time.
Edin, my favourites are the Wu-Tang. All 9 of them. And the 100s of affiliated artists!!
Love Outkast (first 3 albums amazing) and The Pharcyde (first album one of the best ever).
Used to love the Dogg Pound when it was Death Row.
Thing is with rap/hip-hop is a lot of artists have great debuts then rather quickly loose relevence.
Mobb Deep were great, their 2nd and 3rd albums were brilliant (The Infamous and Hell on Earth) but after that they went downhill.
Nas' Illmatic is one of the best albums ever. But not a fan of any of his albums after that. 3 or 4 great tracks on most mixed in with a lot of BS, imo.
Like old school stuff like Eric B and Rakim, Masta Ace, Big Daddy Kane, KRS One etc.
But 92-97, that is my favourite era and I mainly listen to albums from then.

Common made 3 classics
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAzTD5ASIf8
I think artists like Common, who have a bit of knowledge, can have longevity.
It is more the "keep it real" rappers, who talk about street life and nothing else. It is understandable, they live (or at least live close to) the life they talk about. How can they do that when they are millionaires living the good life? How can Snoop, for example, still talk with relevence about what he did on Doggystyle, without sounding fake?
^^^^
Which is why the Wu can stay relevent!!
True DJ.
You are a fan of all the Wu Tang members? EVEN GOLDEN ARMS?!
I hate it when he ruins Wu Tang solo tracks.
U-God
Think he adds to Wu tracks, and Dopium is a very good album imo.
Love R.A. The Rugged Man and Timbo King as well...
