I wasn't a Kendrick fan until TPAB. Hated GKMC on first listen, bar Art of Peer Pressure. Took me a while to like his weird beat change style, which I don't love still.

Stop wumming

TPAB by far his worst album imo. Full of skits and talking.

King Kunta and a few other tracks aside.

I like the sound of TPAB.

What's worse then? That untitled one doesn't count for me.

DAMN.

Strong singles but overall I dont think it matches up to GKMC & TPAB.

Your opinion

I loved TPAB, How Much A Dollar Cost, Blacker the Berry so many classics. Part of Kendrick's genius in terms of experimentation is also what annoys me about him. Some songs where he does that random change beat annoys me so much, especially if I far prefer the first half to the second half.

Section 80 is his worst album, but that doesn't "really" count I guess.

Also to clarify, I now love GKMC.

Yeah works for some songs, art of peer pressure. But not for others. Hood politics, just no need. Either do one or the other.

These walls, I, Complexion, KK, How much, Blacker only good tracks.

I wouldn't classify it as a beat change though. That change after he mentions Obama is like a beat bridge or something lol

Beat changes are like The Heart Pt 4, XXX, Maad City, Sing about me/Im dying of thirst, DNA, Untitled 07 (where's there like 3 songs). Some of them work, some of them don't.

Element one is terrible

Yeah. I hate that switch up after the chorus. Spoils the track.

His flow changes are more annoying than the beat changes tbh.

While we're on this subject. Section80 has his best closing tracks to end any album of his. Once you reach Rigamortus there's like 5 really really good tracks that close out the album.

You can include Keisha's Song if you want as well. Not my type of music though.

Fair comment, Blow My High is such a good/fun song as well.

GKMC > TPAB > Damn. > Section80 for me. Hasn’t put out a bad body of work yet, and I can’t see him doing so either. MaaD City is probably my favourite Kdot track, incredible switch up half way through, love the inflexions in his voice is well, portraying his progression from adolescence to adulthood. 👍🏻

Add voice changes to the list of annoying things Kendrick does

I think I agree with all this.

Also with Firminos comment, absolute hate his voice breaking in "u" and "BOOBOO"

Think the voice changes are one of the reasons he’s the most interesting artist in hip hop today. Add to that his flow and beat changes, makes him head and shoulders above everyone else out there atm.

Black Pantha soundtrack is alright, not being too judgemental because it is a soundtrack. Some decent tracks on there

Not really gave it much of a run through, hence I dont want to see it live
