Wish they'd have a fight at a catch weight if that's possible but can't see it. Mayweather doesn't like taking fights he feels he'll lose..
he's exiting but i think he's a little overated in p4p terms, i don't think a top 5 pound for pounder has as much trouble with the barkers and macklins of this world.
great to watch but he's low top 10 at best in the pound for pound list imo
I agree he is in a sub standard division and beating over hyped Brits/Irish like Barker and Macklin mean nothing. He is still good to watch and has done well.
that said,
i just tried to compile my p4p top 10 and i had martinez at 7, so he's not too far off
1. floyd mayweather
2. manny pacquiao
3. andre ward
4. wladimir klitschko
5. juan manuel marquez
6. bernard hopkins
7. sergio martinez
8. tim bradley jr
9. nonito donaire
10. miguel cotto
I'd have him above Hopkins and JMM

Sorry if, but as things currently stand, not how they stood when Hopkins and jmm were well in there primes, I just cant see wither if them ahead if Martinez.
As things stand he is ahead of both of them (although I wouldn't mind hearing why you have put him behind them)
Either of, typing on phone

marquez is still fighting at a very high level and i thought he beat pacquiao last time and you could argue hopkins is in his prime now with his recent performances.
both have also been fighting tougher opponents than martinez as well.
Martinez is over-rated, who has he actually beat that's worthy? p4p best .
I agree with electric as well Marquez is much higher than Martinez. Marquez has fought some quality opponents including beating them, i also thought he won the last 2 fights he has had vs Pacquiao.
You can oly beat what's put in front of you and Martinez has done that consistently.
Would love to see him and Mayweather go at it
