Nar i would give man o match to pc today, don't you think he looks and we look a lot better with him in the side, we look a lot more at ease. Was it the injury that was holding him bk after all?
Loui,
If brains were made of lard - tha wouldn't have enuff to grease a pan.
Right ya dead, tell him tez.
What did I tell you all about Diego? Calmness personified and he brings to the midfield what we've been lacking, a touch of South American flair mixed with a knowledge of the game that enables him to be in the right place at the right time. If he plays like that every week from now to the end of the season he'll be playing for Stoke next season.
All 4 defenders deserve special mention, Tom Clarke and Jack Hunt surprised me with very decent defensive performances while Clarke and Morrison both did what they needed to and nothing more. The fact we didn't hoof it as much (still a little though) helped the defence a lot though.
Rhodes and Novak starting matches with Alan Lee coming on seems to be a brilliant formula. Rhodes gets in the positions to score goals and Novak doesn't give defenders a minute, by the time Lee comes on the last thing defenders want to see is him running at them!
The atmosphere was much improved but it was helped by a performance which epitomised what we want to see - passion, guts and a confidence in our own ability. We didn't bother getting sucked into their game (although I think Kay was lucky not to be sent off) and just got on with things. If we did that more often we'd have better atmospheres more often.
Finally, I got home to realise my accumulator has come up! Arsenal, Norwich, Saints, Leicester, Tranmere and Crawley! What a day!
Arismendi is what we need in a midfielder!
Cool
Calm
Rarely gives ball away
The defence were superb today, but a Charlton fan I spoke to in Station was not happy with Wright-Phillips! Said he's lazy and only turns up when he wants and today was one of them games! Did say he was impressed with us, especially defending what they did throw at us!
My season ticket got renewed yesterday
Well We didn't "Crush Em" .. We Didn't Even Spank em .. But Oh Boy Did we give their boys a beating .. Clean (Jack) Sheet an all .. ..
I Can't even recall them getting hardly any efforts on goal ..
Toms first half was decidedly shakey with their lad skinning him for pace BUT his 2nd half was superb and should keep him in situ for at least another game though no way is that his best slot .. Much more effective in Kays current position ..
Peter Clarke (just as I predicted) has transformed our defence and Made a Man Out Of Mabel (Morrison) too who almost mirrored his pressing up and heading of the ball .. Mabel took MOTM I gather & I'd have NO arguments with that tho he owes much to his Captain ..
Larrys Substitutions are both Timely & Sublime tho Joeys touch was hopeless and could'a been Well Costly.. however what did impress me most of all was Lazzo's instruction just to put THREE up front
for one of our final corners .. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about the experience of this Double Promotion Winning Mger Deano's Secured for us then nothing will ..
Funny Moment .. As I'm leaving the ground going up the concourse rise to St Andrews Road I can hear this kerfuffle going on and so I turned round to see about 8 guys shouting, bawling and smacking the hell out of each other .. Whats funny about that you might well ask ..
Well (a) They all seemed to be Town Fans .. and (b) They mustv'e been 50 to 60 years old if they were a day ..
Packed a Punch though .. Not sure if I heard the plaintiff cry of someone like Mirf Shouting "Told you I'd get you Bootsie ye bstd"
but then again it couldn't a been him could it as he wouldn't have been there .. ..
Oh My Word .. My day like Cas's couldn't have ended on a nicer note with mi lad James Scoring A Lovely GOAL again for Carlisle .. Who Needs ARIS when Golcar Lad Berrett has just as much if not more ..
PS: My God ..
"James Berrett earned his side a point with a smart finish after he broke clear of the home defence" ..
That SO Reads well .. Look, I'm a forgiving man by nature and even the discredited Mirfielder has been offered Complete Magnaninimity be me ~ Don't let him fool you a 2nd time for his Pre Match Post was Meant Alright and had the score been reversed he would've wasted no time at all in Stuffing the TWO's Up at everyone on this board ..
Mymy Such Forgiveness is so much more than he deserves however I do miss his forum input so hey Mirf ~ Bygones be Bygones an all
Finally Mega Congratulations to Jordan for Achieving the Town Goals Record .. He is So Deserving and is an Example To All Of Those who used to Criticise him so Caustically ..
So Hey Guys ~ Please Do Remember when next 'Calling' Grayson ..
Patience Can Be A Virtue .. Oh and Yes Mirf I do know who brought Jordan here .. ..
I'm happy with today, the result was the main thing but Grayson has impressed me. Despite been handed a boat load of players and no time to get to know them he seems to have sorted a settled 11 and formation, something Clark didn't achieve in 3 years. I'm delighted he has seen Joey G isn't all that and found a replacement.
Despite been very satisfied with the game, i can't help thinking we got alot of luck with the decisions from the officials.
The penalty would probably be given 6 times out of 10?
Kay would have been sent off 1st half (4 times out of 10?)
There bloke sent off 5 times out of 10? (it seems hard to prove he kicked Kay intentionally)
Novak would have been sent off 3 times out of 10?
Had any of those decisions gone the other way i think we could have been reflecting on a different result.
Boots,
Stick to town and forget about Berrett!
It's such a long time since town looked so at ease an in control of a game, it's taken grayson 8 games to get the de clarked, but he's done it now.
Boothy...Yer but isn't about time we had a bit of luck...cos we've some bad luck lately...
Luck is something that decides everything in life, usually it ends up being evenly shared, so for now I'll accept our fair share....
No doubt about it - great result today! Could have done with an extra goal as I had money down on a 2 - 0 win but hey ho - you wins some you lose some. Clean sheet - very important. The confidence seems to be back. Shame none of the other results went for us but there's still a long way to go. Onwards and upwards!
Just got in from the match after tea with my sis and kids.
Good day, decent performance, special mention to Tom Clarke, not my cuppa tea,but fair play today.
Desperados out now to celebrate

Boots,
Stick to town and forget about Berrett!
*********************************************************************************
How can one forget him .. Its his home town .. still lives here.. hey and guess who we Play Next Week.. Will he Score a Winner .. ..
I know Clibbens is Supposed to have 'Sell On' Clauses sorted Inter but what about .. A First Buy Back Option ..
Bootsy, I never knew Berrett was a fellow Golcar boy....
I reckon he must have picked up some tips watching my silky midfield skills when I played for Golcar United....
I had a feeling you would start on about him again after today's game boots, I got the feeling other wk when i realized we were playing them soon. I have worked you out, I know your game, hahaha.
Boooothy .. So far as I'm aware your one fair poster who's always given Peter Clarke Credit where it was due .. ..
Whilst I'm sure we both watched him SKY some Nervy, Needless ball clearances 2day would you agree with me that the three Clear Sheets on the bounce (I'm discounting Smithies OG) together with his huge experienced bonding assistance with Sean Morrison is in truth ~ The Difference between the stuttering team that Grayson took over and the one thats (far from the finished article) now beginning to make waves & realistic strides towards promotion .. ?
Btw: Smithies distribution today and particularly the tardiness of it was at times excruciating .. There's still lots for all to learn ..
You just watch he will go on an on an on all wk right up till we play them, it will lead to blaming lee clark for getting rid of him which will then lead to another slinging match with that fatty mirth.
Well happy, Won, Got stuck in, Chased lost causes and limited the opposition to not much, PC did well, Rhodes never stopped and Kay for all his misgivings gives us a bit of beef, Larry will get him going,, Being respectful and never gobbing to refs can give you the ru of the green when decisions are made ! Good atmosphere as well for a change.
Myth .. What brycey doesn't know about Golcar Utd, Berrett, Gerry Muffti, The Giants, Oxo, T Bags & indeed The Whole Wide World .. is nobodys business ..
Lou e .. You have indeed worked me out BUT so far as JBs concerned you have to Almost Feel That Awful Fear on one of these games we play against His Carlisle Team that what Clark did will come back to positively haunt us .. ..
Btw Inter: No Paul Jewell m8 But there did seem to be some Bignobs from 'Celtic' there who seemed to be under the impression they'd be playing us next season .. Whats all that about .. ? .. & in any event why do they feel we'll be in this division .. ?
Good God .. I Really Must be psychic .. Mere mention of Bryce and there he is .. ..
Indeed JK, You are the Derek Acorah of 606, But my Jedi powers are too strong for your diatribal mantra,,,, Mmmmm it apples that we may now have a spine to work off,, Going to the Border city JK ?
Loui - Mirf has been on the Pamela Ewing diet since crimbo,, He is half the man he was physically and in turmoil mentally since the departure of their Lee.
Haha bryce..... he's still a fat fooker
