I would not play him and Howson in a two. That could only work in a three. Still need a holder... Ie Greening.
He did well for Wolves the year they got promoted. Good at free kicks, creative etc. This is his level... Along with the likes of Koumas.

I've never seen greening as a holding player really, I know he's played there, but not sure how effective he is.
Fair comment Liw. He started off at my home town club, York as a winger, then went to sc@m. Somewhere, possibly West Brom, I remember seeing him change to the holding role and sweeping up well.

Always had abit of a soft spot for York, I'd knew of him when he was there.
