Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada Race Thread

Ladies and Gentlemen, hello and welcome to ManUtdDaredevil’s official Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada. With Pirelli Gate being taken to the tribunal, it is going to be an interesting weekend. The track always delivers exciting races but is known as an engine breaker due to full throttle being utilised for most of the track.

As usual you can read all the boring stuff about the track, history and all that jazz from F1.com. I'll stick with the fun stuff. We’ve seen some superb races over the years and McLaren do very well here so maybe there could be resurgence. Hamilton and Button have in recent years provided some fantastic performances and we hope for some more fantastic racing. I expect a Mercedes front row and I’ve got a feeling we may see a Hamilton win here. So without further ado, let's begin;

A few facts

Of the current grid, Lewis Hamilton is the master of Montreal, though it has been a case of win or bust. The Mercedes driver has started five races in Canada, winning three times (2007, 2010, 2012) and retiring twice (2008, 2011). Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button have each won the race once, with Button's victory remarkably achieved despite having led just one lap during his 12 Canadian Grand Prix appearances.

Canada holds the distinction of hosting the longest Grand Prix of all time - the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix which lasted 4h 4m 39.537s and included a two-hour rain delay. It was eventually won in dramatic style by Jenson Button.

Surprisingly, given their recent domination, Red Bull have never won at Montreal and have only scored three podiums in Canada, making it statistically one of their worst races. You would have thought the race driver supreme would have won here

Five drivers have scored their debut wins in Canada: Gilles Villeneuve (1978), Thierry Boutsen (1989), Jean Alesi (1995), Lewis Hamilton (2007) and Robert Kubica (2008).

--- because my opinion differs from yours and because you dont like my honest opinions that makes me a " troll "
why does it upset you so much that other people on a insignificant forum have different opinions than yours that you have to abuse them ---

Actually that's not what I'm saying at all as I have disagreements with a variety of people and have never accused anyone of being a troll except you. Why is that
