There will be a two DRS zones in Canada with a single detection point, 110m after T9. Activation One is 55m before T12 (Casino Straight), Activation Two is 70 after T14 (Start-Finish Straight).
Will Lewis keep up his Game of Thrones in North America? Win or Die (retire). Not just at Montreal but Austin and Indy too.
If Mercedes can avoid using the softs through quali and save them for the race, I believe they can win the race.
The track should suit them and the temperature will be cool
Rain forecast for all three days isn't it?
Hamilton has a sequence at this track, he either wins the race or crashes out.
His last five years have been:
Win, Crash, Win, Crash, Win.
Hope he breaks that sequence this year .
Also hoping Paul Di Resta and Jenson Button have good weekends .
Wall of Champions is my favourite on the calendar .
Neither Rosberg nor Hamilton have been out qualified by a team mate here, who will loose that record?
Lewis is telling us he's struggling with brakes at the moment, I am of the opinion that this is a track where braking is more important than most other tracks. Because of this and Nico's current form I think Lewis may be about to loose this record.

not sure how a driver can struggle with brakes , is it a lack of confidence thing floating about in his head --
whatever it is he needs to address the problem and quickly , if rosberg beats hamilton at canada it could well dent hamiltons confidence to such a degree that he will struggle to get back on terms with rosberg thuout the season --
It's probably the linearity of their response and bite thats the issue. I don't know if its due to the brake material or the suspension geometry. He spent the last few years in a car with less travel than the RB's front wings so maybe he's struggling to cope with a softer and potentially more forgiving car.
Rosbergs Quali record here is very good but his race record is only a little above average. Confidence is bound to play some part in a drivers performance so hopefully Hamilton can get a good result here and maybe even get in positions to spice up this years WDC fight
Alonso has got back into politics again and say it’s time Vettel had some bad luck:
Fernando Alonso says the amount of points Sebastian Vettel has scored so far this year is “not normal” and his luck will change eventually.
“We have had some unlucky situations this year, like when I had a slight touch in Malaysia which put me out of the race,” said Alonso, “while we have seen for example Hamilton and Vettel touching in Barcelona and they were both able to continue.”
“However, in Monaco it was simply a case of not having the pace. At this stage of the season, we have two more points than last year when we were leading the championship, so in a way we are doing a little bit better than last year.
“What is not so normal is the amount of points Sebastian has scored in the last six races – a lot. We need to try and finish in front of him, because everyone has bad luck at some point and it will come to him as well."

must admit alonso has had a little bit of bad luck this year, i heard he had something wrong with his front wing at monaco -
i hear vettel is very analytical in his preparation for a race and leaves nothing to chance , i am beginning to think he has all the bases covered over a race weekend and luck good or bad does not really come into it --

should have been " good or bad luck "
Yeah Alonso picked up some debris from the Perez-Kimi incident near the end, but he was generally poor all race before that. I put that mostly down to his car but he got overtaken with some school boy poor car positioning which didn't help
You can prepare for everything but in the end luck does still come into it, picking up punctures from random carbon fibre, being t-bones out of nowhere, your gearbox seizing. There are some things as a driver you have no control over.
Luck doesn't come into it for Vettel but Hamilton has to ditch his pet rat as you call it because it's making him unlucky
Martial, don't know what I would do without you on this forum
The RedBull drivers weigh in on Pirelli Gate.
Notice the differences between Webber and Vettel's views.
One is the view of a mature individual and the other is the view of a little boy.

To make sure there's no confusion as we have some 'special' posters. The mature man is Webber, the little boy is The Finger
Hamilton getting the excuses in early, Roseberg has just been quicker that's all.
For anyone interested, Lewis Hamilton's new column this week.
Martial, you may want to take your rabies medication before reading it.

should be a great race - I agree with the article that I can also see a Mercedes lock out of the front row again.
If they've improved on the tyre side of things I'd fancy Hamilton to win as he's usually excellent here.
However, I shall go with an Alonso win (although I would love Kimi or Hammy to win)
The worry for Hamilton has to be the brakes issue as this is a Very High brake wear track.
If he pulls off a win here it will be pretty sensational.
