The frustrating thing is that if we’re going down the 4-2-3-1 path which naturally equates to being a high-press, quick transition team - then we could have signed players better suited for it. Could work great with Werner, Mount, Pulisic even CHO but I don’t think we’ll see the best of Havertz, Ziyech and some others playing this way. Nor do I think Lampard’s going to drop either because of it. Quite likely one player in attack is going to be out of place (tactically or stylistically).

Seems like it tbf. He’s been so much more focused defensively. Would be nice if our starting line-up could be a bit more consistent so that he can develop some chemistry with one of the wingers.

Probably. Good call from Lamps to insist we sign him when so many were questioning it. Looks like we might finally have found a proper replacement for Ash. Not saying he'll ever be as good as Cole was and he doesn't even need to be.

Silva has to play most games tbh, our CBs have no composure other than him.

I think Zouma needs to play RCB and Silva LCB

I think it's possible he can play the vast majority of PL and CL games this season.

Reguilon has started well for Spurs.

Telles apparently was good today for United.

I'm happy with Chilwell, he's still young and looks like he's only going to get better.

Silva’s a bit of a Ronaldo in terms of how he looks after himself. Barring injuries I’d be hopeful he can play most PL and CL games. He was for PSG

I don't think he can play as many as we need him too. Watching him tonight it seemed to me the game took a toll on him.

Probably don't need Silva vs Rennes and Krasnodar, so let him rest those ones.

Get him playing most PL games

Yeah Chilwell has exceeded my expectations so far fair play.

James seems to be showing some improvement from last season too.

Other thing with Chilwell is that he seems a character. Seems to have slotted into the squad perfectly already and is mates with everyone already. Get the impression he loves being a Chelsea player
