Surely not

I assume Kante still

I mean Morata and Mutu also started well.

But with them their shortcomings were more attitude related. Chilwell I’m going to assume is more...professional. Attending Tammy’s surprise party probably not the best evidence of that, but he gets the benefit of the doubt for now.

A draw isn’t that bad a result. More important to win the easier games.

Feel better after today than Southampton (after which I was pretty miserable for the rest of the weekend). Even though we played some great stuff on Saturday and barely threatened today.

I feel optimistic. We played against one of the very best sides in Spain tonight and defensively looked much more solid than we did against Southampton. And home advantage counts for little in these games with no crowd so a draw is a decent if not brilliant result.

Many were saying that our defensive issues are totally a systemic problem but a change of personel has clearly made a big difference in that department tonight.

Our attacking players look like they're going to need a bit of time to gel and find form but it's to be expected, neither Pulisic or Ziyech have played much football at all this season. They'll improve significantly with games and when they do they'll be a major headache for most teams. Werner needs to work on his touch as well, he was way off tonight.

Yeah, cause in the PL 3rd and 4th finished really close to Liverpool

Reality is if we’re happy with that $hit it shows how far we’ve fallen

We’ve got arguably the best midfielder in the world in Kante, one of the best CB’s in the world in Silva, I’m saying it because it will turn out to be true that we have one of the best LB’s in the world in Chilwell, two of the brightest attacking talents in world football in Havertz and Pulisic and arguably a top 5 striker in the world in Werner

And we are happy because we got a draw at home to some mediocre Spanish team ?

18 months we’ve been trying for this balance nearly and we still haven’t got it

Why does it take 11 main players we should be able to get the balance most of the time with the system and tactics but we don’t and can’t seem to get it

That’s what makes me question where we are heading because we don’t seem to have any real end game plan or aim of what we want to do
