I'd be pushing for more after just signing a new long term deal.
I'd assume we are keeping Maatsen if Hall is leaving...guessing it came down to sell one/keep one
Hall will be worth double that in a couple of years.

Don't be too sure.... All must burn at the altar of Cucurella
Lewis Hall:
After Chelsea’s recent signings, including midfielders, Chelsea need to raise funds. Conor Gallagher is still open for sale, but Poch sees Gallagher as more ready for a squad role this season than Hall, so Hall is being considered to raise those funds.
Paul Winstanley is in charge of Hall’s situation. Newcastle have always been interested, but recent advancements have been made easy by PW’s relationship with Dan Ashworth & Newcastle were already talking to Chelsea over Cucurella.
Chelsea are looking for around £30-35m, with add-ons rising to £40m. Newcastle bid £17m earlier in the summer & were quoted £60m at the time.
Hall has signed a new 6+1 year contract at Chelsea & a pre-contract agreement with Palace & has been waiting over a week to join Palace on loan.

🚨👌🏼 #Ziyech: despite rumors, the first part of medicals - carried out today in London - was fine.
🩺 Tomorrow, in the morning, the final part of tests with #Galatasaray is scheduled.
✈️ As told today, if everything goes well, then Hakim will fly to 🇹🇷 to sign the contract.

Ffs sell Cucurella instead to them
If Hall really has already signed the 7-year contract, does suggest this is the club raising funds after the spending on Caicedo and Lavia.
That’s why it’s dumb when people are all like ‘at least they’re not afraid to spend for us’. It can literally cause more damage than simply walking away from a deal. Overpay for other teams shiny players while overlooking our own talent.
What’s the point in spending £15-20m on random youngsters from around the world who haven’t proven themselves, while selling our own youngsters who have actually done well against PL sides.
If our own academy players were impressing for other teams we’d see them as shiny new toys to buy.
For Lavia and Caicedo we ended up spending £20m more combined than had we sorted things like 3 weeks earlier.
Is that why suddenly we wanna sell our academy guys.
Sterling, Cucu, Fofana, Auba, K2…what an absolute train wreck last summer was. We got bailed out by Saudi for K2 but it really could have set us back big time. That’s probably also why we have to sell players, to make up for these feck ups
Oh dear Mount:

Why is this club so horny for following up good moves with bad moves?
You can’t turn down £45m for Gallagher while briefing FFP isn’t an issue and then sell Hall for £35m while citing FFP reasons, so I’m not buying that Lavia is the reason.
Also, include a fking buy back for once.
To be fair after what RJ coincidentally posted on gram, Hall can fackin leave
“If you’ve got to help persuade them to carry the bricks, then they aren’t the ones to build with”
It’s a bit different for a youth player who’s being kicked out early
The thing is
As much as I think lewis Hall is better than say cucurlla
He is one of 4 left backs in the side
If we can't sell cucu then that's on us
Chilly is first choice
Maatsen played alot in pre season which indicates he's got a place in this side
Maatsen can also play further up the pitch
If you are Hall you are looking at the situation and thinking Newcastle is a good move
Financially it also makes sense
I'll be more critical of the owners if we sell maatsen as well

I’m personally not willing to sacrifice Lewis Hall to take a gamble on Ben Chilwell’s fitness
Romeo Lavia has completed his #Chelsea medical. A formal announcement is expected soon.
