A good manager can still translate success from a poor league to a good one. ETH came from the Dutch league and still won a League Cup and got top 4 in his first season at United.
For the record I'm not saying Ange is a bad manager, time will tell, but I did expect more than do nothing in the cups and collapse the way we have done in our top 4 challenge. Expected with almost a season gone for the football to get closer to how he wants it too, but if anything it's got worse.

I'll give him more time but this season has become very disappointing. He's shortened the amount of time I'm willing to give him next season with our recent performances and form.

Expecting to go far in at least one and put in a decent top 4 challenge. I think that is fair considering the money spent and the lack of Europe.
The top 4 challenge was all but finished with 4 games to go and we went out earlier in the domestic cups than we did in our disastrous last season.
Poch got 5th and a cup final in his first Spurs season. Redknapp got 4th and a cup semi in his. ETH won a League Cup and got top 3 with United. Klopp reached 2 cup finals when he first took over at Liverpool. Arteta won an FA Cup at Arsenal.
Ange is hanging on to 5th in relegation form and has done nothing in the cups. That's not a great showing compared to the rest, or have I got that wrong?
