Thank god thats over

The social issues are already there - you cant just ignore them because you see football as an escape. You can't be neutral on racism ffs, by ignoring it you're allowing it

Right now you want to moralise I am all facking ears so barring talkin on an internet forum exactly what do you do to combat these social problems?

There are racist people in society, hence there are racist football fans. I don't think the percentage of racists at Spurs is any greater or lesser than for any other team.

Decent fans need to stop picking up on what other teams fans do and admit its everywhere. Show zero tolerance and "Kick it out".

Yep. Telling people to shut up and talk about football when they're addressing racism is pretty messed up

Exactly. Society is racist so therefore anythimg within society, including work, entertainment AND football, will include elements of racism. But idiots like grandspurs thinks it should be ignored cos he wants to focus on watching his football.

Ok? Congratulations? I'm not totally sure how that justifies you telling someone to faaack off for complaining about racist chants because you see watching football as a hobby, but thanks for all the work you do I guess

Dont twist words you know nothing idiot. I dont think it should be ignored but I dont believe it should be discussed on a forum unless the forum is for that purpose.

But you want to tell us how wonderful you are when what you really are is all talk and fack all else like most

Thank you thats right I dont talk about it I try to prevent it most days of my life. But do I talk about it in bed with a woman? no cos its not the place for it and neither is a football forum during the game

I'd argue that having a conversation about racism in football whilst there are racist chants during a football game you are watching is fairly logical but if you disagree so strongly about it you could just choose to ignore it next time rather than feeling the urge to reply

Chants they never heard and that might not even have happened you mean? They were not complaining about the chants they were trying to moralise to us to prove how wonderfully liberal and understanding they are.

I listen to it everyday and most of it is lip service nothing else

The time to stop talking and start acting was years ago not because its now nice and "trendy" to take that viewpoint

and I would say that if they feel that strongly about it then turn your tv off and end your sky subscriptions citing the reasons why but no far better that they prove to us how nice they are

I'm sorry but I think you're wrong, you can't simply compartmentalise racism. If it happens during a game of football then a football forum IS the place to talk about it.

Yes racist behaviour is endemic in all areas of life, but to me that is exactly the reason it needs to be instantly remaked on and condemned whenever it's seen or heard.

I don't think saying "this isn't the time or place" is the correct, when and where it happens it precisely when it needs to be addressed.

I really don't see why this has bothered you so much - why do people have to be trying to "prove how nice they are" when they complain about racism? Isn't it more likely that they dont approve of racism

Was North Stand. Didnt hear any racism.. anyone there notice?
