It would be great until Isak is injured for half the season and Bruno G is suspended for every other game when refs decide what he does at Newcastle is a red card in an Arsenal shirt
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the issue with both. Especially Isaac.

Bruno G has that nasty desire to win that marks out the best tbh. Like Vieira used to.
Would love him if we can get him between £60m-£80m.
Isak is not for sale.

Yeah agree on Guimares. Not a world beater I think but that kind of all rounder that would fit in well.
Isak they'd want probably more than Rice, but strikers are at such a premium now I'd rather pay £110m and be done with it than try another £50m Jesus type signing that we want out in a year

How can Isak be a £100m player. Osimhen costs that much!

Was listening to TalkSport last night (I know) and they said that Newcastle are likely to offload both of them due to ffp.
Also, Isak’s injury record is no worse than Jesus’ and most people on here were up for signing him at the time…

Arsenal had a close look at him when he went for £63m and balked at fee. Very unlikely they will go for him when sources are quoting £100m+. Although Newcastle have been very clear they will not sell him.

We were just desperate for a striker after Alexandre Lackathreat. We have to get this one right.

Just looked up Isak’s stats. His 3 seasons in Spain he played a minimum of 32/38 league games.
Last season he had a thigh injury which kept him out for 11 games. This season he has missed 6 games from a groin injury.
It’s really not a terrible injury record at all.

A lot of rumours of Zirkzee as the younger development type Arsenal are negotiating for. Would make a replacement for Eddie.
Any more striker incomings will be dependant who leaves imo.

Eddie, Ramsdale and ESR are all certain to leave. Should get close to £80m for them.
No point signing these ‘project’ players because if they don’t hit the ground running, Arteta quickly loses trust on them and shuns them out
posted 1 week, 6 days ago
Arsenal don't have huge issues with ffp. So its replacing like for like in a positional sense if players demand to leave or considered not good enough per development.
Eddie wants first team football, and there are plenty of buyers. He is beyond that development point. Same with Nelson. ESR not as much because of injuries.
Kiwior may want first team football so could go. Ramsdale and Elneny likewise. Partey, Jorginho may want a bumper last contract.
So a starting MF, younger striker, a wide player (starter or development depending on what they think of Martinelli going forward), a younger GK, a younger CB.

ESR is backup to Odegaard. Vieira backup to Saka. Arteta will never drop those two unless they are injured or we are comfortable in a game for them to be rotated. We went out of the minor cups early. Which is why they got less playing time (and they were injured a lot anyway).
