Chances are it’s gonna be worse than good but Liverpool aren’t in such a bad position as it’s made out to be. They got some really good young academy players coming through this season. Their senior players are getting on, but Klopp was never their head recruiter anyway. This season they already over achieved so next season they maybe back to where they should’ve been this season.

Remains to be seen how Villa will juggle CL football next year too. Although this season they have managed their European campaign very well with league. Expect Utd/Spurs to be better as well so it’ll be tough for everyone 3rd down.

Thats understandable.

Liverpool overachieving this year makes next season harder for the new manager though. Say their real level now is competing for top 4 but they have a transitional bump that leaves them competing for Europa, that looks like a huge drop off compared to the level they think they're at this season.

Also big decisions to be made on VVD and Salah, which in themselves could make or break a new manager.

Liverpool fired their technical director. That shouldn't fill any supporter with confidence that the coaches believe in Liverpool youngsters.
