The memory of Silvestre...... what a stinker !!!

Welbeck wants CL footy. Good on him. Too good for utd

For christ sake why are you so dramatic. He is 23, has won champions league, premier league countless cups, starts for his national team, is 6 ft 1, has pace and is good in the air. Its a pretty decent enough signing. Stop crying your eyes out, how is this anything like Silvestre??

Boy, you sure know how to pi$$ on my bon-fire. Memories of Silvestre still haunt me.

I think he'll do well for you

He's 6'1"?

That changes my whole opinion of him now...

Are you real? Silvestre won more than Welbeck..

Danny Welbeck hasn't won the champions league.

I think he'll do alright for you though as his pace and movement is very good and should get more out of your creative players than Giroud does.

Not the calibre of striker Arsenal should be looking for, however.

I remember when we signed silvestre and some gooners we saying "he's won this he's won that"

furgie was laughing all the way home after we'd bought that pup

No comparison, Silvestre was a free transfer, cheap to a good home, only used as a backup defender,Welbeck will be the only experienced striker we have available till Giroud returns next year.

Ferguson is the greatest manager of all time and rated Welbeck. That should tell you all you need to know. hes only 23 ffs with years of premier league and champions league experience its a no brainer signing, nothing spectacular but decent. He could even turn out to be a very good signing if he fits in well enough

We need to get that cb/dm though or we will struggle I think

Peanut head, don't you mean Melon head.

Your fans were cheering when they said the deal had been called off, look a bit silly if it now goes through.

I bet if I looked long enough I could find a comment or two of you saying Welbeck is sh!!!!!T

£16m for Wellbeck, I was upset he was leaving before but at £16m you can have him. Potential like Gervinho lol without any flair.

Unfortunately a lot of Arsenal fans are morons. Looking silly happens on a daily basis. Listen to these fellas who know what they are talking about on ssn. Compared to the mad childish frenzy on this silly forum

£16m is obscene!

That amount better include huge payments based on us winning the league and CL that will probably never get triggered

Signing Welbeck is not like signing Silvestre - OK he's not 1st tier - we'll just have to see what Wenger can do with him.
At least he's streets better than SoNoGoals.

To be fair that's the only reason why I tune in, jim White is a cvnt but I live these jokers who hang around the training grounds on deadline day. We all cringe when they go outside our own grounds
