Comics were banned in America at one time iirc. One of the reasons was that the birds in comics were impossibly hot and created unreasonable expectations in society.

I have to admit the hot characters with thick hips and big asses played their part in getting me hooked to comics.

X men 97 Episode 1 - 8/10

Aside from the animation being different, the voices being slightly off and Rogue being about as flat as this thread without my leadership, I actually enjoyed this episode. They leaned heavily into the nostalgia and I thought the writing and action scenes were well done.

Candidly, I have little interest in a show about a Penguin that we've seen in one movie. I don't think he has enough to keep me engaged, without Batman playing some sort of a role. The Penguin in the recent movie lacked the fear factor or presence to be a real threat to Batman. He could go on to become a menacing mob boss in the sequel but until that happens, I'd rather not see a TV show for him.

The Penguin in Gotham was the best.

Or you could just watch Gotham.

If Penguin was a mob boss in The Batman, a series about his rise might have interested me more but since he was nothing but a henchman in the movie, I'd rather just wait for the sequel.
