During his time, the club secured Getir, Cinch and a partnership with Ineos.

Think he earned his keep. The Getir and Cinch deals are worth millions. Not sure how much the Ineos deal was wirth.

Yup, we could have done better and this is why Ange won't be receiving top marks for this season even if he gets top 4. He'd have done very well but not exceptional.

If we can beat Brighton at WHL next game we’ll have taken 11 from 15 in the league, (3 home wins plus away draws to Man U and Everton, both of whom are in reasonable form).

After that we are at home again to Wolves, then at home AGAIN to Palace (as our away fixture at Chelsea is postponed due to the EFL Cup final). 9 points from the next three games - all at home and winnable - is essential and critical for our season and would put us in a really strong position before a tough away trip to Villa where a point would be fine.

(Villa should be back in Conference League KO action by then which might help us if they have a Thursday night game before our fixture).

I'm really confident going into each game this year so the disappointment I get from any result other than a win is a tell-tale sign we're heading in the right direction

I know I'm looking a little into the future, but I'm feeling extremely confident about Ange's 2nd seazson if this trajectory he has us on continues, with another pre-season under our belts and another 6-8 months of learning his methods with better and better players coming in, and the already new players settling in more and more

Yeha agree but also you have to be realistic

Instability in the club pre-ange
New scouting structure
Getting out older players and brining in new players
New playing style
New manager

This isn't fifa or football manager. Its real life and with that you should expect a bit of real life twists and turns.

Look back at Liverpool and City when Klopp and Pep first came in respectively and you'll see they didn't do it all in their first seasons

We should be getting 9 points, anything less is disappointing. We don't have as many excuses now that players are back from injury. Sarr is back, Bissouma coming back, so shouldn't be any need for PEH to be starting games. Son is a miss but Richarlison has improved his goal scoring in his absence and we bought Werner, so it sort of cancels it out.

The path is clear to go on a winning run and with the exception of an away game to Villa, we should actually get 6 wins in our next 7 games.
