He’s all effort and no guile, composure, little skill - we know what he brings and it’s not at the level but it is what it is

Yeah we’ve been unlucky in each of 3 matches, deserved more, some great individual performances but we are short of quality. We need to splash some decent money. But let’s put it into perspective, De Greazman is 500k a week 😂

Aye, I'll almost guarantee that a fair few of the players will be sorer in the morning than after other games? That's the best I've seen us play in Europe for a fair while

Aye you could see how fvcked most of them were on the hour mark.. their second equaliser definitely took a lot out of the team and sobering crowd.

Our lack of depth on the bench really showed again tonight.. a common theme so far this season.

Not terrible in the grand scheme of our recent results. Squad is nowhere near CL level. Yet somehow it feels like we probably should have won 2 games. It’s all upside down

Good result against a genuine top team, and a decent performance overall. Think most of us would have accepted a draw before the game, so for a lot to now be disappointed says a lot about the game.

The subs they made at half time made a big difference after how well we played in the first half. Our first goal was sublime, and the second was a good finish.

It’s looking more to me that the majority of our summer signings just aren’t going to cut it. Bernardo might come good with a run in the team-he looked well short of match practice tonight, and Phillips just looks like a guy who’s happy to be allowed out to play with his pals. The others are being used so sparingly.

We’re at least looking competitive recently in the CL-but we really need some better players.

Btw-the flag display before the game-immense.

Some of our play was unreal and kyogos goal was just sublime to carve them open

I know there are areas we need better quality players but I hope we spend some significant cash on a another striker.

Like that’s going to happen. We operate on a “be just that bit better than Rangers” principle and keep nibbling away at the quality of replacements until it backfires. And then we reset.

Look at the tenures of Deila and Lennon for prime examples

Thought we were immense first half but obviously tired in the 2nd, Hatate going off was a blow as I think Bernardo could have come on in the 2nd to add a bit of energy in midfield when we did tire.

Do you know that’s the first time Atletico have lost two goals in any European competition since 1987*?
That says a lot about our play last night.

Good assessment

Thoroughly enjoyable game. Bright future for us and I've not said that for a while

i thought we were terrific in the first half last night, unfortunately we need to play at our absolute best for 90 minutes at that level and its a really tough ask, players were blowing out their @rse at 60 minutes.

the subs helped us secure a point but the lack of quality on the bench was telling, at the end of the game i couldn't see where a goal could come from.

i see taylor get stick for the second goal, its a tough one. if he commits then the ball goes to the man out wide, truth is it was a wonderful cross.

I thought AJ was really poor last night to be honest, and i'll prob take heat for this but i'm not sure what mcgregor is bringing enough at the moment either.

agree re GT, don't think he's getting there for the 2nd, tbf to Llorente it's a stunning cross

AJ for me looks like he's lost a yard

McGregor imo was our worst player 2nd half, passing the buck big time
