Thought the tie could’ve been over after first leg when draw was made, great to be in with a massive chance.
They have much better players than we do, but they didn’t look like a team at all, were all over the shop defensively.

Imagining Matondo comes in for Sterling, also a boost that Cantwell should be on bench.

50/50 they are clearly better on paper, we fear no team at home though and its got to the stage now I feel we can beat just about anyone outwith the elite teams at home.

bring em on, wont be too disheartened if we go out, if we go through it gives the squad another huge lift at the expense of extra mileage in the legs.

yup , although thats got nothing to do with todays game!

Real tough night ahead that could go either way.

If you look at recent years performances in the Europa you would say we were slight favourites.

Unfortunately recent years performances doesn’t mean too much in the night….

Id watched the Porto Benfica game and thought then that you'd have a chance, obvs that was a bit of an unusual result but did show they could be got at.

At home, big crowd and starting from scratch more or less score wise, should be a good night for Bears, no idea myself how either team will perform so could go either way?

To be honest that's a fair accomplishment, see Sky Bet have Rangers at 9/5 and Benfica 11/8, could be worth a few quid?

our form in the Europa over the last 4/5 years is outstanding.

Regardless of result tonight it looks like we will be cracking the top 50 clubs in the 10 year co-eff table, which is pretty damn impressive as we will have scored 0.00 for 3 of the 10 seasons. If we maintain the form we have been showing (will be harder with CL football) then we could realistically be looking at getting into the top 30 which would be a massive achievement.

I feel Rangers will need to be clinical tonight - as they were in the first leg - if they are to go through.

Cannot see them keeping a clean sheet so there’s no room for a poor performance up top.

All the pressure on Benfica though and with a boisterous home crowd you just never know.

Would be some result for Rangers and Scottish football if the can progress.

Might stick a quid on tav getting a penalty.
