yeah 100% agree

I was against the idea of selling Royal in recent windows as I thought he'd make a great back up,

upon reflection, I really do think we just need to bite the bullet and just get 2 of the same player in every position rather than making do with a squad player who's just standing in until the main guy returns

He wouldn't let her have a CT scan and says she has to have a camera scan. There's a hard lump in her bowel.
She says she doesn't give a damn anyway, and is just cracking on with things.
Fair play to her.

Interesting thread based off N8's good initial post, my view is very much:

I think teams have learned how to play against us (stop pressing Bissouma for example), but that always happens against every team and we are still creating the chances and overloads despite this. We have also adapted well to multiple different setups and changed our approach both at the start of the game and midgame (but people don't see this because for most plan B = hoof it long).

We have been crying out all year for a Nico Williams type player which would make every other aspect of our team look better and be given more space. You just have to see the level of productivity of a limited player like Werner.

Our open-play defence is good and well set up, I will die on that hill. I don't care if we overcommit as there is there is pros and cons for every system (at our best under Poch we overcommited as well).

It is just completely undermined by set pieces in all aspects - we have essentially been conceding a goal a game due to this which is completely unacceptable. Meaning that gamestate has ruined our plans over and over again.

I also agree with Windy's point that the players we identify under Ange are the types of players we want to sign going forward anyway.

& finally I think Son has been our worst player in 2024.

TLDR

Pros:
Good philosophy
Effective system in open play
Good transfer policy and transfer target
I think we will move generally in an upward direction

Cons:
Set pieces
Unsure why certain players have been given the same opportunities when they keep failing

his general CF movement is really poor, was night and day when Richy came on and started actually occupying Liverpool's CBs, pushing their backline back and creating space between the lines

it's insane how much Son comes short given what his strengths and weaknesses are

he's a big goal threat on the counter which makes him a valuable option there when we are winning and teams start pushing for a goal against us, but whenever teams can sit in more against us and we have sustained possession in the final third he's pretty useless down the middle

Also sorry to hear about your mother J, hope it all goes good.

I'd say Maddison has been worse. He's got basically a free role in a system that should be ideal for how he plays and there's just been a complete lack of creativity.

Like Hengy said, if he's getting the passes right Son will finish them
