I absolutely love this guy.
A true born leader, great temperament, can play all 3 formats of the game and a big game player.
Is there any other young player as good as this guy currently? I don't think so.
If you compare him to any past players he seems very much like Ricky Ponting. Almost the same playing styles and an aura of arrogance in their manner of behaviours which I love.
I think this guy has the ability not to let pressure get to him and this will certainly help him in the long run.
A true captain material.
VIRAT KOHLI

Kholi has some way to go to be called a successful test player. Only 8 tests played at 32 average to date.
Cook and Trott are doing OK at the moment.

i used to hate it when people used to praise trott like he was another bradman. the guy had only played like 15 tests and averaged 67 and people were like all over the place. the guy is now in a decline in both formats.
hpft dont put cook and trott in the same bracket. i think cook is a better player than trott by miles and im sure most england fans will agree
kohli is an exceptional odi player. I have full confidence he will become a gd test player, if he carries on with the same passion he has been playing with.
just a question to a few people. why do u guys want kohli to become a captain. havent u guys noticed that after captaining india, all the players average have only gone one way, and that is down. I think seeing how our batting line up is fragile, we shud leave kohli free from this burden and let him carry on with batting.

I simply pointed out that Cook and Trott have moved between tests and ODI with success. No comparison of them was made.

Darren Bravo, aged just 23, has made a very promising start to his test career.
He's not outstanding in all formats and needs to gain experience but i believe he could become a superb player for the West Indies in the five-day format.

Neon, Cooks been batting with DRS for the last 5 years. Indian players have inflated averages due to lack of DRS.

Cook - tests = 48 av. ODI = 41
Trott - tests = 53 av, ODI = 48
What you talking about Neon.

Kash it all balances out. Sachin and dravid have faced the most fierest of bowlers.currently not even a single bowler cud match the like of mcgrath, warne, murali, wasim waqar shoib(due to sheer pace). Even steyn compared to these guys are nothing.right now we only have 1 decent spinner ajmal, otherwise the rest are getting slaughter by some domestic teams. I have actually missed out so many bowlers.

So I am not the only guy who likens him to Ricky Ponting!!!
From playing style, that pull shot, arrogance and leadership quality ,its all there.
And to add to that , I think Virat will be the more successful batsman than Ricky.People are already talking that he is better than Tendulkar when it comes to contributing to match situation in the same time that they have played together.
So yeah. I also dont think there is any other Young cricketer at the moment to challenge Kohli. He has the heart of a lion.
88 more for that 100 ton for Kohli.

Steyn is nothing compared to the players you listed?
Have you seen the guy bowl?
