wow....just looking through some stuff from the last couple of years and something just jumps out from it...
*************liverpool fc have won three games in a row once in 2 years **************
read that and cry lads..........i dunno why some of us think we have a divine right to be in the champs league ........
and ps....our top scorer has only seven league goals in the premiership this season
the bank should be broken for a 25 goal striker this summer

bat_, your post doesn't make good reading, does it pal? But it must be right, and thats sad. What a tragic record, it just show how far we've sunk compared to our rivals. The damage done since the mid-1990s will take more than one or two seasons to correct, far less improve but, despite the abject criticism thats been shown here on JA606, I still feel we are going the right direction. For that, I'm grateful for all at LFC for setting us back on the right track. Long may it continue. YNWAJimmyTheRed

Jimmy, we got passed the damage done in the 90's in fact we won a European cup and were finishing in the Champions League positions nearly every season, whilst finishing second on one occasion. I'm sorry but this has nothing to do with the 90's. We were at a decent level, a level we could have progressed from but the previous owners did damage, since then the new owners have provided funds and set Kenny a target of Champions League qualification. He didn't meet the target. This is not the right track.

TheresOnly, you are right, we did achieve a 'decent level' but it wasn't a 'sustainable' level, and that is going to take time and patience. I am surprised by the lack of the latter being shown on this site. I hope it fades away. JimmyTheRed

Rafa was a very good manager, who needed money to succeed, so he continually progressed us until H&G's debt started to tell.
I always said that I'd have welcomed him back at some stage in the future, preferably when there were few/no players that he'd previously managed at the club. The ball-park has changed now, though, with us desperately needing to buy good players this summer and needing to challenge for Top 4 ASAP.
I'd take Rafa back this summer in a heartbeat. It's not a guaranteed success remedy, because we're in a precarious position, but do I think there's more chance of Rafa buying players that would improve us whilst getting use out of a squad over the course of a season than Kenny would?
You bet I do.
Nice to see some United fans giving him a bit of credit too - - it was always slightly bewildering seeing people write off his European record, his La Liga record and his ability to muster a rare title challenge as luck.
Rafa's an odd-looking chap, but I think that's to do with the goatee and the belly - I don't think he walks round with a horse-shoe up his årse.

This is how I see it, would any of the Top 4 teams hire KD if he were available in the league, lets take a poll? Hell no!
Would any of the Top teams in Europe like Barcelona, Real, Bayern take KD? Hell no! Real will have Wenger in a heartbeat! Have been trailing him for years, but for free these caliber of clubs would probably not touch KD with a 12 feet pole! That says everything to your KD subjects. KD despite being a legend at Liverpool is a "has been" in global football. Why must you persist with him? Because he won a 2 / 3 tier domestic cup? If Liverpool must gain back the status you think you deserve, you need to be showing the form, tactics , results consistently and that can only be measured in the league. Winning cups can be a fluke or by luck, I mean winning cups is a hit and miss thing, but league is a consistent test of a teams ability. Even Portsmouth and Birmigham have won Carlings, and FA cups in the last 3 seasons, where are these clubs now? Is Mcleash and Avant Grant better than say Wenger? Go figure Liverpool fans no sentiments here

What part of what he said do you disagree with?

I didn't agree or disagree with anything .... I make a thread about our premiership form on the liverpool board ... I never mentioned anything about Kenny or the carling cup yet we get mocked about flukey cup wins .... This coming from a team who haven't won anything in 7 years .
And nothing about united either .... So stop brown nosing the gunners and jog on from the thread if your just wumming
Have a good night

Bat_ I'm not arguing with you friend, we need a striker or two like a drowning man needs a life raft. It could be argued that Kenny bit the bullet by trying Raheem on the park. I couldn't bear to watch the match but, if the Press are to be believed, he played most of his team mates off the park. So, when can we see Morgan, Suso, when's Amoo coming back home? The answer lies with our manager. jimmyTheRed
