I think this is understandable considering how bad we've been since Rafa was pushed.

We need to get a good manager in, who can turn this form around and attract top players.

what we need to do is start finishing some bloody chances !

IMO, it would be a backward move to take Rafa back, not a forward one.

He may have only challenged the title once but he still had us there or there about, which is much better than the couple of decades previous and the few years since his tenure.

Personally as a United fan I would fear Benetiz more than Dagliesh...

I do think Benetiz is a good manager, I now that isn't an opinion shared by all United fans...

I don't see why that isn't the opinion shared by all United fans though, as it is obvious we were a much better side during his tenure and more often than not featured in the Champions League and had aspirations of even winning the league. Maybe the fact that united fans don't like him, clouds judgement.

In one season he properly challenged yes but in most others he had us up there.

In his last season the owners were destroying the club and there was a huge mess, going on, where they couldn't keep up repayments, couldn't fund new players and weren't on speaking terms with the manager. Any manager would have suffered.

I thought Benetiz was a good manager but things seemed to be going terribly for him in his last season, just nothing seemed to go right towards the end of that year for him and Liverpool (the beach ball comes to mind)

I wasn't sure if they should get rid of him or not... with Kenny I do genuinely think he isn't good enough and Liverpool should look for someone in the summer..

Houllier was a decent manager also but Rafa had just that bit more and progressed us. Without Houllier Rafa wouldn't have had such a good platform, however our two managers since those two, haven't progressed us.
