Abu Diaby has now been with Arsenal for over 6 years. He’s had very bad injuries, but 6 years is a long time and I still cannot work him out.
Diaby is like one of those kids at school who was brilliant in the playground or at training. But when that kid got into the School team, he was just not the same.
Some of the great things he does like goals against Villa and Newcastle away, and his driving runs forward, anybody looking at that is thinking wow this guy has real talent.
Unfortunately like a French version of the Royal Mail Diaby can be first class one minute, or just disappear never to be seen again the next. Sloppy passes and giving the ball away is his forte, but once in a while he’ll surprise you.
He does things and I dare to think one day he’ll be a world beater. Then he’ll comprehensively prove me wrong and do something ridiculous.
We all now about his horrendous injury problems, so should Arsenal stick with him on the chance he could reach his potential, or is it time move on and ship him out?
Personally I would stick with him, Arsenal have put in so much time and money that the investment has already been made. Selling him would get him off the wage bill, but who in their right mind would pay a decent amount of money for a player with his injury background?
I heard somewhere he has a muscle imbalance, sounds a bit like the Rosicky’s situation a few years ago, and much to everyone’s amazement he is now playing regularly – and well.

The only thing consistent about him is his absence from Arsenal's matchday team sheets.
For some unfathomable reason, I still like the guy though.
