Lampard you are still a Chelsea legend!

Despite being portrayed by media as a villian who cost AVB his job I think he is still a Chelsea legend but I want to say that he should accept his part role now if he wants to remain at Chelsea for next season and beyond.

Below is compilation of most of the goals that he has scored for Chelsea so far.

Thoughts?Fellow Chelsea fans?

You thinking FAR too literaily. Not everything's so concrete. The actual issue has nothing to do with the stand off itself, if there isn't conflict in a dressing room from time to time something's wrong, it's with how it came about and ultimately how it was resolved.

Of course AVB made huge mistakes. First of which was retaining certain players in the first place and expecting them to take the dropping of an untouchable tag quietly - fatal error. Another was assuming he had the security to dictate to players not used to that kind of management, nor respond to it very well. And i'm sure he didn't take Lampard's attitude laying down, after all he had a spine.

But what's unforgiveable about Lampard's manor is it's utter conflict with the repuation he'd given himself throughout his career, it made him look fraudulent. To respond so badly to a manager simply testing his value to the team was so disappointing. AVB on the other hand was just furfilling his function, planning for the future accordingly.

He actually had 7 assists I think.

But anyway, looking at those stats doesn't tell the story of his season. A couple of these goals were penalties and 4 were against Bolton when they were rubbish. For a midfielder goals should be a bonus in addition to good passing and creating chances, and he's done neither this season.

No I still stand by my original points, it's just when you're using the argument of his goals to back up your point saying "if he had a manager he likes he'd be far better" it kind of backs up what we're saying.

Just because our opinion isn't the same as yours doesn't make you a better supporter

He didn't just "dump" Lampard though, he rotated the squad, you can't expect Lampard and Drogba to be playing every match

They got game time and were mostly rubbish, why should he persist with them? Their reputation? No

Terry, Cole and Cech still played regularly and we were playing with Mata on the wing so Malouda was hardly gonna play much

Don't know where this idea of him dumping them came from, and surely picking them for the big matches showed he had faith in them and trusted them?

Of course he made mistakes, but I would prefer if he was still here tbh, at least we'd have a plan for the future instead of being back to square one and still stuck with declining players.

If AVB stayed any longer at the club we would have been behind Liverpool in the league and out of the Champions League. The guy completely lost the dressing by always blabbering about his future project instead of concentrating on his current project.

How would our players feel if they knew they would not be part of the team in the coming season/s?

Let's not get into his useless team selection, tactics, Substitutions and the boring football we were playing.

And that was the whole problem in a nutshell. Just a thought, think of it as me thinking outside the box. But how about our players spent more time proving to AVB that they deserved to be apart of his project rather than backstabbing him???

The players hold club's in the palm of their hands, and rather than fight to prove the manager wrong, they went on mental strike. Pathetic. Hope they all get "dream moves" to PSG and Anzhi, with managers they'll "respect" enough to turn up for.

I wouldn't call it back stabbing. If the manager doesn't believe in you and doesn’t want you at the club in the future what is there to play for? BTW it was not like Lampard was not trying under AVB. Whenever he was given a chance he tried his best but unfortunately he didn’t deliver half the time.

The manager lost the dressing room from day 1 when his man management skills let him down. Anelka said a few months ago that he loved playing for us and was really happy and then what happens? He hands in a transfer request. Alex was also happy and then as soon as AVB arrives he hands in a transfer request. Both of these players have never made the headlines for the wrong reason at Chelsea and same could be said about Lampard, but as soon as AVB arrives all 3 players seem to be on the Chelsea fans hit list.

AVB was just not good enough.

If that is true then perhaps you are reading too much into things that aren't there? After all I am pretty certain that you have never been close enough to the team to know for sure how anyone is impacting them and I am pretty certain none of us are that well versed in Kinesics to have any confidence in what we see from the players body language.

I believe you have and agenda with Lampard, that is your choice but I do not find any of your examples convincing.
