Lesnar's Return

What does it now mean for the WWE? Are we going to see a transition into a more 'aggressive' pre-PG like era, or is it just a case of Vince trying to keep all the different kinds of fans happy? Everyone knows how HUGE a draw Lesnar is for the WWE particularly for the adults but what on earth will they do with him?

Rock alluded to on RAW to now wanting the WWE title. Do you think Lesnar and Rock will cross paths without just throwing Punk into the trash as they have done with so many big names in the past.

It all gives me hope, but then, with the 'E, the more they give you hope, the more they can just completely let you down.

Thoughts?

Fans have been booing him since 06-07 I think. I got back into wrestling around 05 and bought into Cena for a while but it was early 09 that I grew sick of him and still feel that way now.

I feel sorry for Cena, he works hard for the company to no avail with some of the fans, i used to hate him too before i realised he was on his own carrying this industry for awhile.

Maybe if he put a few wrestlers over once in a while he wouldn't have to carry the company on his back. There's a ton of wrestlers he could have put over but didn't.

They don't boo him because they think he doesnt put wrestlers over, he isn't hogan many launched careers have been from cena! he legitimises other wrestlers as ready to take that step up in the company.

Wrestlers Cena has put over:
Edge
RVD
Umaga
The Nexus - He did a hell of a lot for wade barrett
The Miz
CM Punk
Sheamus
Carlito

Some you could argue that they did it "themselves" but they all started thier journey by going over Cena

Sir Digby

hmmm, not totally true. Many of those wrestlers aren't over what so ever, and the one's that are weren't as a result of Cena. The only one's i can agree with are Carlito and possibly CM Punk.

HHH losing an epic trilogy to Batista, following a prolonged build up which cemented the ushering in of an era ...... that's what i consider putting someone over. Giving wrestlers the charity of facing you, and more often than not losing to you, isn't the same thing.

You honestly think the Nexus doesn't owe everything it was to Cena? Mate, you're just slagging him off cos you don't like him. At least have the common decency to realise what positive impact he has had on the WWE.

How did Cena put Barrett over? Barrett went back to mid-card after Nexus disbanded with that god-awful Corre faction. He's only recently elevated himself & because Randy Orton put him over.

No-one really put Miz over, his title run was god-awful, maybe Orton to an extent but that was it. He lost the title at Extreme Rules to Cena and once again faded into mid-card after that.

I would agree that he has put Edge, RVD & Punk over. I don't hate John Cena himself, I hate the John Cena character/gimmick. I respect how hard he works for the company to get to where he is now but thats where it ends for me.

Putting someone over means they actually get over? Where are Nexus? No-where. They enlist Cena, he pounces on them, they disappear. Nexus as a unit practically sponsor the Cena steamroller, and their individual members haven't faired much better.

I'll continue hating on his character as long as it's given this presentation. I've got nothing against the man behind the character, it's not his fault dressing like someone on day release and sprouting the same generic garbage every week sells (he's claiming royalties so he's laughing lol), i blame the public for their horrible taste and WWE for resorting to lowest common denominator.

Cena is loved by the women and the kids and is hated by those who grew up in the attitude era. I dislike Cena firstly because of this superman complex that he has. Secondly, I dislike Cena because he is a phoney and I blame the WWE for this. He comes out every few months with his stupid different coloured shirts with captions such as 'Rise Above the Hate' and 'U Can't see me'. He has become nothing other than a cash cow for the WWE.
