50 years is a long time to follow your club I have seen all types of players come and go and managers from Carey and Marshall to Kean.Players that stand out are Atkins and Sherwood two good midfielders.Jones and Gennoe and Friedel 3 magnificent keepers.backs well Bailey was good and Berg top class I think of defenders and David May Kevin Moran (was a great Rover)forwards Ripley ,Newell,Gallacher and Mcevoy and Byrom and Jansen the list goes on and on,not forgetting Parkes and Tony Field and even little Johnny Price .Ive chosen all the unsung heroes and missed a hell of a lot out but these playersI have always done their best for my club and it stays with me till I die.

Whats this got to do with BurnleylMany players have played for both clubs over the years Keith Newton(r.i.p)and Adam Blacklaw weeJohnny Price and countless oyher players who were good but not real stars.

I also forgot to mention Simon Garner and Jason Wilcox two great unsung heroes and Rovers stalwarts for many seasons!Glad that Jason won an England cap should have had more but thats life brings ,me to the present day and I wish he had a few ,more of these players,
