A win for Wigan against Man Utd and with it being 3-0 to QPR are these the final nails in the coffin for our Premiership survival?
I don't want to give up, not until it is impossible for us to stay in the division, but we do deserve to go down, as painful as that is to say...
Final nails in coffin?

These results, coupled with last nights shower leave us deep in the mire. I can't bare to see us relegated again but it's looking very, very bad.

I think of Pie saying all season Venkys are asset stripping and maybe after the parachute payment and new sky money then we are taken over! That we are going down verges on madness but its true and we cant do anything about it as we are just paying customers!

I actually enjoyed our time in the championship (think it was league one then) with the Burnley derby and the fact that we actually had something to fight for. I felt really optimistic about pushing for promotion, and watching players like Jansen and young Dunn.
I think us getting relegated this time will be disaster though. We aren't in the situation where we can just bounce back this time. We'll sink this time (I'm struggling not to put in a topical Titanic metaphor here).

The cost of a season ticket for next season will be the same regardless of the number of games.

so why buy? Leave 'em to wither, it has to get worse before it gets better, once they all collect their winnings, sell us off for pennies and we go part time, we can settle down to a nice little mid sized footy team and enjoy our footy again. It's been fun but the town's been beyond it's weight for years, time to re-set and worry less. Half of the clubs in the prem are in so much debt that footy is going to implode someday anyway.

Duggy I was off to bed but its good to chat with you now and again.I miss the old game going to Burnden Park over the hill,we Rovers being on the railway end which was open.Going on the long side at Burnley. These days have gone and maybe we expect our Rovers to have a Duggy or a Clayton or England(Michael) or a Garner/Shearer/etc.We have no class players left I hope our youth academy throws a few good young uns up but time will tell.

Star: sleep well thou good and faithful Rover, dream of Dougan's brace at Maine Rd to send us to Wembley in 1960 or Duggy's famous "passed" penalty (just hope you don't have a nightmare featuring that home defeat by Rochdale about 5000 years ago!)

It was Division One, not league one.
