parker makes the prem XI and song doesn't, that's been bothering me. It's debateable if he even deserved it last year on anything other than the fact that he can tackle and that everybody likes him. nani was a far suprior player jsut that no one likes him
all he can do is just slide about making tough (but fair, take notice stoke) tackles but then that's it. Song works just as hard but just doesn't feel the need to slide in nearly as often but to be fair his tackling isn't as good as parkers, but he's clearly much better at everything else
you can argue all a defensive midfielder is supposed to do is tackle then give the ball to someone who actually has skill but in order to be one of the best footballers you need to do more than just the minimum requirements. I'll put it to you like this, who'd you rather have?
viera or keane?
pirlo or gattuso?
xavi alonso or mascherano?
if parker gets ahead of song despite song being pretty much arsenals sole recognizeable/experienced dm atm who's played almost every game and doesn't rely on being next to another dm unlike parker then I'll be so angry >.<

He wins tackles, he marks the space well, he's very tidy in possession and he always gives the man with the ball an option. He probably gives Spurs an extra 5-10% possession by doing all those things.

sheriff yeah he is careless sometimes with the ball like song is but difference is, song is careless in the middle of the pitch, luiz is careless with it, in and around our penalty box. i love luiz's forward passes. he makes everyone look silly by splitting the defence with ease sometimes. think hes getting better now

Parker is at his worst when he has possession of the ball. He does that stupid pirouette because he doesn't know who to give the ball too.

Everytime I see Parker his hair sways in the wind. And he has a smug look on his face, as if he just accomplished something.
All he's really doing though, is kicking players around.
