According to Radio Leicester today, Danns will not make the game on Saturday due to a groin injury picked up in training, they also said that he could be out for the rest of the season. If so he will be a big miss for the run in and if we make the play offs

It's a shame for him as much as us. He was just getting to a place where he was high up on many people's teamsheets, including the manager's, and showing us the kind of form that we'd been hoping to see from him all season. Then, one moment of madness and he's out for 4 matches.
For the team, that has the bright side of Andy King coming back and already finding some sort of form. If we can get all of King, Danns and Drinkwater firing next season, we could be in for an exciting time.

I was really disappointed when he got sent off against Hull as he was the one player who had really come into form and I knew that any influence he was going to have until the end of the season had really ended at that point. Over the four games he was banned we were either going to be so bad that his return wouldn't make much difference or good enough to ensure that he would probably end up on the bench when he returned.
That's still the case now. If we beat Millwall he won't get back in the team after 3 wins in a row and if we don't then it's season over for any meaningful play-off push.
That's not to say I don't hope he comes back as quickly as possible as we'd certainly have a stronger bench with him on it.

I think he may well have gone straight back into the team. Certainly a big miss at this crucial stage of the season.

tlg,
The point I was making is that after his four games I thought we'd either be adrift of the play offs (so his return wouldn't matter) or we'd be on a winning run, which would make it hard for him to get back in the team.
Admittedly it's been a bit of mixture with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat. It's not form I would have expected to be good enough to keep us interested so it's rather proved me wrong as there would have been an argument for his inclusion had he been fit. But certainly if we win on Saturday he's unlikely to get back as it would then be three in a row. Lose and our season is surely over anyway.
